I think I've seen this one. I guess it might be similar to wrong death triggers (if bunch of stuff that watches for things dying dies at once, some triggers are missed) -- the deaths are not implemented as truly simultaneous, so when Tarmogoyf's state-based effects are checked, it can see extra type in graveyard.Xyx wrote:I found a funny one!
I attack with a bunch of 3/3 Beast tokens. My opponent blocks with two Tarmogoyfs and a Dark Confidant. Goyfs are 2/3 at this point and there are no creatures in the graveyards. Expected result is all his creatures die (state-based actions are supposed to happen all at once, if I'm not mistaken). Instead, he's left with one 3/4 Tarmogoyf.
I was able to reproduce this.

Pact of Negation sometimes does not make the opponent lose the game at upkeep (they can't pay it) when copied by Hive Mind.

I've encountered this one, it seems it's actually caused by opponent treating the Hive Mind ability as optional instead of mandatory.Snowstorm wrote:Pact of Negation sometimes does not make the opponent lose the game at upkeep (they can't pay it) when copied by Hive Mind.

Did your opponent block the same beast token with both Tarmogoyfs? Did some of your Beast tokens have first strike?Xyx wrote:I found a funny one!

Falkenrath Noble was sacrificed along with two other black creature to pay for Demon of Death's Gate alternate cost and Falkenrath Noble's ability only triggered once.

This is the problem with things leaving battlefield simultaneously once again...NivMizzet wrote:Falkenrath Noble was sacrificed along with two other black creature to pay for Demon of Death's Gate alternate cost and Falkenrath Noble's ability only triggered once.

Nope. They were all forced chump blocks on vanilla Beasts. The most likely explanation is as Marek14 says; non-simultaneous deaths (or, rather, state-based actions).rot wrote:Xyx wrote:Did your opponent block the same beast token with both Tarmogoyfs? My opponent controlled a Painter's Servant with white selected. I controlled a Quirion Dryad. I cast a second Quirion Dryad, which should be white, but it did not trigger the Dryad I had in play. Is this correct?

It's not -- the spell is white, so it should trigger the Dryad.gos wrote:My opponent controlled a Painter's Servant with white selected. I controlled a Quirion Dryad. I cast a second Quirion Dryad, which should be white, but it did not trigger the Dryad I had in play. Is this correct?

The AI pauses indefinitely on the main phase whenever they have Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver on the field, and nothing is able to progress the game further. I can't pinpoint exactly what is causing this, partially because there is no crash log, but I suspect some sort of infinite loop in the AI code for Ashiok.

I was playing a few games when suddenly I lost the ability to play the card Exile from my hand. Clicking on it only causes it to disappear, then move from the icon that shows me how many cards I have in hand to my hand again.

Maybe all the creatures in play are white, so there are no legal targets for Exile? This could happen due to an effect from say Painter's Servant or Shifting Sky.Doombolt1 wrote:I was playing a few games when suddenly I lost the ability to play the card Exile from my hand.
