No actually, they are supposed to kill each other. The new Worldwake version and old Jace will also kill each other if they're in play simultaneously.Mr.Chaos wrote:AAAAAAARRGGHHHHHHHH!

That's it. I'm pulling the plug on this game for today.
If I can find the courage, I will try another round tomorrow.
Oh, side note: Adjani Goldmane and Adjani Vengeant kill eachother if one comes into play when the other is there already. Not sure if that is the way it should be. Rules guru's, what do you think?
They are different cards with different names but at the same time depict the same character.

They have the same planeswalker subtype. The planeswalker uniqueness rules state that two planeswalkers with the same subtype die.Mr.Chaos wrote:AAAAAAARRGGHHHHHHHH!

When Wizards introduced Legends, they keyed them on name - they probably didn't think of having multiple cards representing the same character (which happened, I think, for the first time in Nemesis with Ascendant Evincar being a new version of Crovax the Cursed - and more blatantly in Planeshift with Ertai, the Corrupted). Later, this got weird: Karona, the False God is a fusion of two other legendary characters, for example, and in Planar Chaos we got "alternate universe" versions of our favorites. With planeswalkers, they planned from the start to have multiple versions of the same character, and so they keyed them on subtypes.

This bug has always been around, can't seem to fix it for some reasonNew beta bug, Chandra Nalaar, when attempting to use his +1 counter power, deals 1 damage to target player, Forge prompts to pay non existent mana requirement.

Just click on the planeswalker again to "pay" for the ability, you can then use it as intended.DennisBergkamp wrote:This bug has always been around, can't seem to fix it for some reasonNew beta bug, Chandra Nalaar, when attempting to use his +1 counter power, deals 1 damage to target player, Forge prompts to pay non existent mana requirement.

Thank you to Dennis and Merek14 for explaining the planeswalker name/type thinghy to me.
(sometimes, it is hard to seperate a feature from a bug around here.

Aether Vial needs some coding to tell the computer when to activate it. Right now it will always try to use it, even when there isn't a creature in its hand of the same CMC as the current number of counters (usually 1). Since the computer can't find the an appropriate target, it locks up the game.

I did a search on this topic and nobody seems to have reported these bugs yet:
=>Stuffy Doll + Guilty Conscience infinite damage loop doesn't work anymore (Forge 01-01).
=>Force of Will doesn't allow me to exile another Force of Will when playing it via alternate casting cost.

True, Stuffy Doll doesn't seem to work anymore... hmm. Force of Will is fixed in 01-17 though.

Played a couple of games just a while ago...
=> Kokusho's ability doesn't trigger when I sacrifice him to Innocent Blood. Haven't tested this with other Kamigawa dragons though.

I fixed that for the 01-17, I think. Are you using 01-01?
EDIT: Fixed the Stuffy Doll - Guilty Conscience infinite damage combo again

Firstly, hello!
My first post and i'm utterly thrilled at your skills! I'm an MTG player from 3rd edition but i've been too busy to keep up with it for about a decade.
Secondly, i've tried searching for these and could not find them listed so apologies if these bugs are already covered.
Thirdly, i'm playing with 01/01 on OS X 10.5.7 - I also have 01/17 but the lack of larger card images on the right makes it not so fun. Have an XP laptop which i'll try when I get some time to see if there are differences.
OK:
1) Selected "Primal Plasma" as a 1/6 defender - CPU attacks with 5/5 Imperiosaur sending the plasma to the graveyard
2) CPU keeps putting artifact equipment out first turn with no creatures (it has done this consistently over the 3 games i've played). Not sure if there is a way to even tell what creature is using the artifact - it just gets put out like a regular card and appears to do nothing.
3) score is half blotted out - so 20 appears as 0 / 17 is 7 etc...
4) can't download HQ images - get an error "you need to be connected to the net". Error is always "slightlymagic" link - doesn't seem to want to change over to the other option
again - apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place or gone over things that have already been noted.

@Luther: Artifact equipments can be played without any creatures in play. You play it like any other artifact and pay its Equip cost to get it attached to a creature you control.

Good to meet you Luther.
We found the problem with Macs not displaying the jpg pics at the bottom right of the battlefield. That will be fixed next release.
The regions / zones / areas on the battlefield are resizable. Try to click and drag on the vertical border next to the life points and drag it it to the right.
Dennis found and fixed a problem with the url paths. You can try to download the HQ pics using the 01-17 version and then copy/move these pics to the 01-01 version to play the game.

@Chris H
yep dragging fixed the life points - thanks!
I tried to download the HQ pics in 01-17 again and it said they were already downloaded. Is there a way of identifying them - I can't see any difference when playing in 01-01.
@psillusionist
OK that would explain why my Plasma was killed also - but I don't recall seeing the Imperiosaur "Use" the weapon when it attacked. Should there be a dialogue to show when the CPU is using an artifact weapon and which creature it is applied to?

LQ pics are about 12 to 60 KB in size while the HQ pics are about 100 to 260 KB in size.
The LQ and HQ pics are stored in the same folder. To download the HQ pics, remove the LQ pics from the pics folder and place them somewhere safe. You will then be able to download the HQ pics.
I keep to copies of the game on my desktop, one with LQ pics and the other with HQ pics.
