Awesome work! I decided to create an account because I wanted to say that
. And about a constructed deck editor, I won't be able to try the newest version until Monday, but what do you think about using long tap as an alternative to right mouse click? (Not sure how did you handle moving cards between main and sideboard).
And the most important, keep up the good work

I've gone ahead and added "New Deck" and "Edit Deck" buttons below the Preconstructed Decks and Quest Opponent Decks lists. New Deck will work the same as it does when Custom User Decks is selected. Edit Deck will prompt you to duplicate the deck as a custom user deck since you can't edit preconstructed decks and quest opponent decks directly.
This way, if you like one of those decks but would like to play it with some tweaks, you'll be able to create a copy for editing quickly and easily.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Having some sort of image problem. I have noticed duplicate cards have missing images on some. For example basic lands same set one shows a picture the other doesn't. This also causes the error to popup when not having an image for a card. This is not exclusive to lands but most of my observation has been basic land.

Could you provide specific card examples and let me know how you downloaded the cards.Wulfe wrote:Having some sort of image problem. I have noticed duplicate cards have missing images on some. In addition to adding support for duplicating preconstructed and quest opponent decks, I've gone ahead and added support for generating new decks from a random theme or random colors using a new "Generate New Deck" button under those lists. It uses the selected colors or selected theme to generate the decklist, then opens the generated deck in the editor, where you can name it, tweak it, and save it.

Every basic land does this and mostly cards from the theros block.
I have done this with two devices both do the error. The first device, my phone a zte awe. I did just the automatic DL through the app. Both single and set pics. The second device I imported the pics manually from my desktop client. Which I can see all the pics just fine on the desktop client.

All pics were obtained from the same source of the automatic downloads. Is there another source for non progressive pics or do I need to convert them?
Next time I run forge I will upload a log of the error it gives and screenshots.

See Known Issues section on first post for information about fixing the jpegs (if that's the issue for you).Wulfe wrote:All pics were obtained from the same source of the automatic downloads. Is there another source for non progressive pics or do I need to convert them?

In an effort to make the Add Lands dialog more usable, I decided to add information about the deck breakdown, such as non-land vs. land count and how many of each color symbol appear. To make room for this, I made it so the 5 basic lands now appear in a single row that you can see just more than half of without swiping left. On the bright side the lands, combo boxes, and +/- buttons can appear a little bigger now, and the dialog no longer covers the entire screen.
Note that I made it so if red and green are more prevalent in your deck than white and blue, it will automatically open scrolled to the right to reduce the likelihood of you needing to scroll left or right.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

It would be nice to get a text overlay of which land is which on the Add Basic Land dialog for those of us who haven't gotten around to downloading pictures yet. Actually, that's kind of true for everything in the program. Similarly, it would be nice if when opening the Zoom/Details pane that Details is auto chosen if pictures aren't available.

I just rolled out 1.5.21.001, which includes the following enhancements (mostly discussed above):
- Allow duplicating preconstructed and quest opponent decks as custom user decks, allowing for tweaking them to your liking
- Allow generating new decks with 1-3 specified colors or from a given theme
- Show deck breakdown (non-land vs. land and count/percentage for each mana symbol) at bottom of "Add Basic Lands" dialog
- Display basic lands larger and in single row in "Add Basic Lands" dialog

I've gone ahead and revamped the card color, card type, cmc, and deck color toggle filters a bit to make them more usable. Since there is no right-click, I had previously made long press mimic the behavior of right-click on the desktop game, which shows only cards that match the right-clicked filter. However, I've found this to really be the most desirable behavior for these buttons most of the time, so having to long press was kind of annoying.
I've changed it so just single tapping one of these buttons now unselects all other buttons, so tapping on "Red cards" for example shows only red cards. If you then tap on another unselected button, it becomes selected so you can show multiple colors, types, or cmcs. If you single tap on the only selected button, all buttons will become selected again.
This behavior might seem somewhat counterintuitive at first, but it does make applying these filters much faster and easier on a touch screen once you get the hang of it. I'm certainly open to feedback to the contrary however, and I'm open to restoring the old behavior via a setting if needed.
Also note that due to freeing up the long press handling for these buttons, I was able to support showing tooltips for each button via long press. Now, if you don't remember what one of the card type icons is for, it's possible to find out.
Thanks.

I just released 1.5.21.002, which includes the following fixes/enhancements:
Let me know what you think of the behavior of the deck editor context menu and the usability of deck editing in general now. I'm certainly open to tweaking it if needed.
Thanks.
-Dan
- Deck editor now provides context menus for moving cards between the catalog/draft pack, the main deck, and the sideboard. These menus appear on single tap so you don't need to double tap anymore (though that still works as it did before). This includes the option to add a card straight to you sideboard while drafting.
- Significantly improve performance of opening a deck for edit.
- Tweaked behavior of toggle filter buttons and added tooltips to them, as described in previous post.
- Prevent showing card quantity of 1 for each card in Catalog
- Turned off behavior of menu and back buttons while on match screen to prevent something happening if you accidentally hit one while going for the OK or Cancel buttons. You can still access Settings and Undo via the Game menu.
Let me know what you think of the behavior of the deck editor context menu and the usability of deck editing in general now. I'm certainly open to tweaking it if needed.
Thanks.

I just released 1.5.21.003, which consolidates the new context menus into fewer items, as well as adding an "Add" item to the main deck and sideboard page which allows adding more of a selected card without needing to jump to the Catalog and find it.
