I tested Selesnya Evangel some more and it is totally messed up. It appears that if you select a token creature to pay for its ability, the game will generate an error. You can select its ability even the turn it comes into play (but you don't get the saproling token). You aren't prompted to pay any mana. If you select a non-token creature with "summoning sickness," you will not get the saproling token. Sometimes, even if you do everything right, you still will not get a token (I've only actually gotten a token one time out of the dozens of times I tested this).Almost_Clever wrote:I tried to use Selesnya Evangel 's ability (using the Plant Wall as the untapped creature) and got a game error.
I don't think Sosuke's Summons works properly either -- it doesn't return to my hand when I cast Marsh Boa.

I didn't see this error myself, but I've checked in some code that should fix this.Almost_Clever wrote:I tried to use Selesnya Evangel 's ability (using the Plant Wall as the untapped creature) and got a game error.

All of these problems you describe should be fixed with my lastest code changes.Almost_Clever wrote:I tested Selesnya Evangel some more and it is totally messed up.

Is there anything more specific you can tell us? Does this happen every time? This works fine for me.Almost_Clever wrote:I don't think Sosuke's Summons works properly either -- it doesn't return to my hand when I cast Marsh Boa.
My test deck is 2 each of:
Forest
Marsh Boa
Marsh Viper
Mox Emerald
Sosuke's Summons

I activated Night Soil when the computer had two creatures in the graveyard. I paid one mana and selected one creature and the select window popped up a second time so I selected the other one. After the effect resolved, I had one saproling token in play and the computer had no creatures in the graveyard. The Removed total said one, however clicking on the button displayed two creatures.

No, that was all I had since I immediately sold it off after it didn't work.slapshot5 wrote:Is there anything more specific you can tell us? Does this happen every time? For some reason the number of cards in a zone lacks a bit. This happens a lot with cards removed to exile.Jaedayr wrote:I activated Night Soil when the computer had two creatures in the graveyard. Hi all.
I've been kind of busy... then holidays and came back with problems with my PC *sigh*.
Now back to the topic, BUGS -
AI uses Reanimate to get a Lightning Bolt. It loses 1 life and Lightning Bolt doesn't deal damage and stays on the table as if it were some enchantment, maybe there's a problem with valid targets.
AI -
I also noticed standard AI behavior didn't evolve much since last time.
Not pseudo card knowledge, but I think it's possible to develop some kind of Threat mechanic (at least for creatures).
For instance AI just burned a Vampire Lacerator with a Lightning Bolt, while I had a Vampire Nighthawk on the table, not only has better stats, it also has flying and deathtouch, applying that mechanic here is easy, and wouldn't make AI look like really stupid or drunk. Something like: a 2/2 creature with a tag ability (flying/flanking/bushido/trample/frist strike/life link/deathtouch/...) is better than an ordinary 2/2.
Although there are much much more complex ones that we would love to see, but would be a pain in the arse to make
we won't be talking about that.
Example: player has a Boggart Ram-Gang and a Dragonmaster Outcast and 5 or more lands on the table, it would be nice that the AI tries to kill Dragonmaster Outcast to stop token creation instead of Boggart Ram-Gang.

I had a 3/4 (due to Glen Elendra Liege) Old Man of the Sea , but I could not take control of a 3/3 (due to Leonin Scimitar) Talas Warrior.
Don't mistake lack of talent for genius.

This seems legit. Old Man is 3/4. He steals Talas Warrior. Talas Warrior get bumped up to 4/4 due to the Scimitar and the Liege. Old Man can't control him any more, so he releases. Talas Warrior goes back to your opponent and is 3/3 again.indicatie wrote:I had a 3/4 (due to Glen Elendra Liege) Old Man of the Sea , but I could not take control of a 3/3 (due to Leonin Scimitar) Talas Warrior.

Thanks to all who reported bugs regarding Ali from Cairo.
The following things should now be fixed:
1) getting milled should cause you to lose
2) losing life (vs. getting damaged) should cause you to lose
3) "you lose the game" effects should cause you to lose
Latest fixes are in SVN r2548.
Please report any new problems.
Thanks!

The comes-into-play (enters-the-battlefield -- ETB?) ability of Inkfathom Divers is not working (doesn't even appear to be put on the stack).

This bug crashed the game completely.
This is from the 1002 release.
I was playing in a Draft game, vs 7 opponents & this was against opponent #1.
