Can you try using setup game state?
I used Corwin's CtEST deck with rev 9621.
I cast a Chalice of the Void and it has "Charge counters: 3".
Following turn I cast Etched Champion and it is not countered. Hmmm.

Edit: I added the code that caused the exception, and didn't end up using it. I just removed that code for this. The Count$TimesKicked would not be affected. I expect that may be a similar issue to why Prototype Portal doesn't work.
Yeah, the card is in my quest deck. I played a couple of games where I kicked the card but the computer did not discard. Noticed the error exception when I moved the questdata file to the newest beta version.

Using setup game state, etched champion is countered as expected. During normal play, spells are not countered for me. That game state file definitely works with Chalice of the Void on my systems. Cast it with 2 CHARGE counters and it countered the Kazandu Blademaster. Went back to a normal game state and it doesn't work.

Wolfbriar Elemental crashes the game every time I try to kick it. Playing the 6/12 rev.

Some End-of-Turn flags don't appear to getting cleared (seen in latest beta, 6/12). Giltspire Avenger tapped to destroy one of my creatures that had dealt damage to the computer the turn before. The +2/+2 bonus from Mighty Leap lasted for the rest of the game (I don't remember if the flying ability stuck around as well).

I recently started playing a Merfolk deck, and I noticed a few cards that have bugs (as long as I am not interpreting the rules incorrectly).
With the card Merrow Reejerey, its power activates correctly when a Merfolk card is put into play and un/taps the permanent you select, but then it deletes the merfolk card that you were playing in the first place to activate it. The card is not in Exile, the grave, or returned to the deck.
The same thing is also happening to me with Drowner of Secrets and Drowner Initiate, although they have powers that are not exactly the same.
The game will not let me play Belltower Sphinx even though I have more than enough land to bring it into play.
Enclave Cryptologist plays well the first time you put it into play, but then does not allow another copy of it to be played. It also sometimes duplicates the card that it draws from the card that was drawn on the draw phase. This duplicate is usually bugged and unplayable.
Edit: Two other minor bug's that I just found are the explanation text in the left hand text box when Merfolk Sovereign gives unblockable to a creature, the text says creature "gains HIDDEN unblockable until end of turn."
Also dealing with the same card, the +1/+1 of Merfolk Sovereign is not counted when you are on your main phase unless there is something that triggers a change in stats. The game does count the bonus +1/+1 correctly when entering other phases.
Edit 2: The enchantment Briar Patch does not give -1/-0 to attacking creature correctly, if you have six creatures attacking, it gives six -1/-0 to a random creature that is attacking.

I did some further testing and noticed that when I use setup game state with Chalice of the Void in my library it does not work. When I put it in my hand via setup game state and put it into my library with Brainstorm and then draw it, it does not work.jeffwadsworth wrote:That game state file definitely works with Chalice of the Void on my systems. Conclusion: The library destroys the trigger (or at least moving the card from zone to zone).

hi,
not sure where to put this, but i have a suggestion for the Oath of Druids deck, in particular the use of Forbidden Orchard.
- If the AI has both Oath of Druids and Forbidden Orchard in play
- it should check at the end of my turn if both players have the same amount of creatures and then tap a useless mana to create a token for me
the deck would instantly become twice as powerful

.Jhoira of the Ghitu is working really oddly now. From what I can tell, her activated ability won't work if there's a creature in your hand. I've been able to suspend non-creature spells when I've had no creatures in hand.
