This is by design. The card overlays will display if the scaled font size drops below 12 otherwise it assumes the card will be large enough to read without requiring overlay assistance.

Now that the card overlays can be turned on/off during a match, I think we should have the overlays on at all sizes. This would make it easier for users that aren't using card images at all or when a set's images aren't available.

I will update the option so overlays are either on or off regardless of the card size.

EDIT: committed r23127.

Huh, so that actually makes sense, since I list the colours of my constructed decks with a slash separating them like [U/B].

I'm having a problem extracting Forge onto my new laptop (just got it yesterday). I'm using windows 8, and whenever I go to extract (using windows explorer and 7 zip) it, I get an error saying that 'can not open Forge as archive', and when I just use the default extractor it says 'before you can extract this, it needs to have files in it'.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? What can I do to fix this?

First get rid of Windows 8! (Only joking :D ). At a guess I would say your zip download is corrupt. Try downloading again. I am running Windows 7 and when I look at the properties of forge-1.4.7.zip its size is 32.2 MB. Also, if you are running a virus checker/firewall it might be preventing access to it.

I've downloaded it a couple of times, and it still doesn't work, always says the same thing. :(

I disabled windows firewall and have tried it before downloading another antivirus program, it also said the same thing.

Not sure if this would be helpful to know, but when I go to properties it -sometimes- says the program is blocked because it's from the internet. I always click unblock and then try to extract it, but it always says the same thing. Tried to find a way to disable that in control panel or something but I couldn't...

It also says the folder is empty when I go to extract it using windows...?

I copied Trostani's Summoner with Progenitor Mimic, and when I tried to populate off of Courser's Accord I couldn't select a token copy of Trostani's Summoner.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben forces a suspended Heroes Remembered to pay (1) when the casting cost was committed 10 turns ago.

This is correct

6/7/2013: If the spell has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those if able. However, if an additional cost includes a mana payment, you are forced to pay that cost only if there's enough mana in your mana pool at the time you cast the spell. You aren't forced to activate any mana abilities, although you may do so if you wish.

@kaelanstorm: I'm wondering if your extraction programs are at fault here, along with a combination with any/all antivirus programs you are running. Therefore, there's an experiment I'd like you to try. First, set all of your antivirus/firewall programs to be disabled for approximately 30 minutes. Next, download and install winRAR. Then download a clean copy of 1.4.7. Try to install that. Hopefully, that'll do the trick.

Thank you for the explanation.
That is entirely counter-intuitive to me, however.

Probably because Suspend doesn't work the way you are picturing. You aren't casting a spell with suspend to be a smaller cost + X turns. You are paying a cost to let it be cast X turns later for "free". When the last counter is removed, you "cast it without paying its mana cost." The mana cost is just the cost in the top right corner, it doesn't change any other additional costs.

Think of it like this:
You want to play Heroes Remembered but don't have the 9 mana to actually cast it, you Suspend it, and let time handle it for you. Now when the last counter is removed, you start casting it. When you go to pay the cost for the spell, you add any additional costs (here the 1 mana from Thalia) making the cost 7WWW, and then subtract any cost reductions (here the "cast it without paying its mana cost" which is 6WWW). So now you are left with 1 mana that you have to pay if you want to cast the spell.
