I have several crashes similar to that of Agkistro. They always happened during attackers step, and always happened when I or the AI attack with Ichorclaw Myr and a possible blocker is in play.
I noticed Agkistro had Septic Rats in play, with a similar ability.

For everyone who is reporting this issue:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at forge.game.ability.AbilityUtils.applyAbilityTextChangeEffects(AbilityUtils.java:1521)


It was fixed not very long after this release went out, and Chris has posted a new Snapshot without it. If you want a Forge that doesn't crash as often, download that snapshot. No need for continuing reports of this crash. Thanks.

Hi:

It doesn't appear that the Forcefield card (2ED) is working properly. When activated, it asks player to choose a card, but clicking on any card (for example, the card dealing damage) doesn't respond. I tried to activate the Forcefield at the various steps of combat (screenshot shows Declare Blockers phase), but same result.

Works for me. I'm not sure exactly how you are doing it but it works like this:

1) Activate Forcefield after blockers are declared (but still during the Declare Blockers phase).
2) Let Forcefield ability resolve.
3) During resolution, select the card on the battlefield that is an unblocked creature.
4) Afterwards, check your Command zone to see if the Forcefield effect is there.

Note: If you press space too quickly the Forcefield "choose a card" might cancel out. And if there aren't any unblocked creatures (because it's before the DB phase) there won't be any legal sources to choose from.

D'oh!

Indeed, I missed clicking OK after the choose card (and clicked too fast after it to see it ask for selection) for it to work.

Yea that's just the ability on the stack. It's a pretty poor Stack message for that, i'll take a look at that.

Hey I've had an issue for the last two updates of forge where when I try to start forge it doesn't work. Any version before that works but with version 1.5.24 and 1.5.23 I've had the same issue. I initiate forge and the startup window comes up wher it loads all the different files. It reads in the loading bar: "Loading cards from folders" and stops and 52% and won't move forward from there. I was just wondering if this was a common issue and if you had any advice for where to look to fix this. I've already gone through the cards folder and checked to make sure that all the cards are text documents. There were card jpegs in there at a point and before I deleted them it wouldn't go past 22%. Anyways I would really like some help and I would really like to use forge again. Thanks!

One thing I've noticed is that there appears to be a bug in the multiplayer commander games. Whenever I finish game one and try to begin game two, I get to the screen where Forge prompts me to decide whether to keep or mulligan my hand, but I'm not allowed to make any selection; the "keep" and "exile" buttons are grayed out.

I believe you get to choose who starts the game by clicking on a Player portait to choose the starting player.

Situation:
I have a Questing Phelddagrif and a Doubling Season on my battlefield.
I cast a Gathering Specimen and activate my first ability of Questing Phelddagrif for {g} (+1/+1 for Questing Phelddagrif, a 1/1 Hippo token for opponent).

Effect:
I get the token of the ability of Questing Phelddagrif.

My question:
Shouldn't I get 2 tokens due to Doubling Season?
- Gathering Specimen says that I get the token instead of my opponent.
- Doubling Season says that if I would get 1 or more tokens, I will get twice that many tokens.

When I have Mycosynth Lattice in play I'm able to cast Llanovar Elves with a Mox Pearl. But I'm not able to tap my Mox Pearl for adding a green mana into my mana pool.

Reread the Lattice. The color that is produced doesn't change, it only changes how you can spend the mana.
