It should be ready now. I fixed the bug with it hanging if you hadn't established a name yet. I've also done some more refactoring of the new GUI logic since the last release, which I'm hoping might improve performance a little.Agetian wrote:Ahhh, OK, gotcha! Thanks!Yes, will be happy to release an updated version.

On top of that, I've removed the tiny delay for press effects (like Buttons appearing pressed), which should make the app feel more responsive overall. The downside is you may notice momentary press effects when doing a swipe action like scrolling, but I feel that making buttons feel more responsive is more important.

.005 will not start on my Galaxy s5 Active. It gets stuck on "Deleting old resource files" I waited 30 minutes on that screen, then force closed it, and when I tried to run it again, I got a black screen. I downloaded .005 as soon as you guys released it
though, so if there's been an update since then, ignore this.

I believe the way drdev is handling this is that each time there's no updated release the number goes up. So all .005s are the same version to avoid this type of confusion.ABrighterShadow wrote:I downloaded .005 as soon as you guys released though, so if there's been an update since then, ignore this.

Once Agetian publishes .006, I'd suggest trying again. Meanwhile you can check the Forge folder on your SD card and manually delete the res/ folder there if it still exists. That should hopefully prevent you seeing that issue again.ABrighterShadow wrote:.005 will not start on my Galaxy s5 Active. Correct, I always increment the version before a publish, so all .005 installs should be the same. The only thing that can be different is the contents of your Forge folder. Often, if someone is experiencing an issue others aren't on the same version, it comes down to preferences being different (such as the recent issue with not having a player name established).friarsol wrote:I believe the way drdev is handling this is that each time there's no updated release the number goes up. Not for me, no. When I used it, it downloaded twenty two thousand, nine hundred something images. I was missing KTK, C14, and another which I forget the abbreviation of.Pongpyng wrote:Card Image Downloader didn't get all the images? I got every single one, even CNS and C13 which was missing when I use Forge LQ downloader. Did you open Forge while downloading? mine was incomplete once when Forge interrupt the downloader. Or Have you try empty card folder before start download? The program should read from res folder and download every images missing.ABrighterShadow wrote:I forgot to mention that the method I described did not get me all the images. I am missing a few sets.Scion of Darkness wrote:ABrighterShadow how do you batch download from mtgimage?
Try locate \cache\pics\cards and delete the folder of the missing set and start download again. It worked for me.
Edit: The other one was VMA
2nd Edit: It has come to my attention that C14 has not even been implemented into the forge app yet, and has yet to have a full spoiler for it released. Sooooo, yeah, I'm an idiot, and it actually is only missing KTK and VMA.

Ok, tested 1.5.26.006 - definitely doesn't crash anymore, so it goes into the game correctly after prompting me for the name. It feels like the game is a bit faster outside of combat but the combat is still intolerably slow, even on my fastest device it's still slow enough for the game to take several seconds to make the icon appear on the attacker/blocker and to let me confirm the declaration (it typically goes like this: if I click an attacker to declare it, first I immediately hear the sound, then 3-4 seconds pass and then the attacker icon appears, then 3-4 more seconds pass until I can click OK, then I hear the "tap" sound immediately and then 3-4 seconds pass before the attacker is tapped, then 3-4 more seconds pass before I can click OK to proceed).

Now that I've set up the FTrace API, I'm working on investigating the cause of the combat slowdown. Hopefully I'll have something ready to release soon.
Also, as a heads up to anyone wondering where the achievements trophy images went, they now need to be downloaded separately into Forge\data\achievements. We haven't yet establish a downloader for now, but you can check out this post for a zip attachment if you don't want to wait. There are a lot more achievements now, including ones for 19 different alternate win conditions and 52 Planeswalker Ultimates.

Quick question, is the set VMA(Vintage Masters) implemented in the current version?

We don't really put any of these MTGO only reprint sets in. We don't have any of the MTGO Masters Editions either.ABrighterShadow wrote:Quick question, is the set VMA(Vintage Masters) implemented in the current version?

Ahhh, I see. Makes sense. No need for sets without new cards I suppose. Thank you for answering my question, and then some.friarsol wrote:We don't really put any of these MTGO only reprint sets in. So now that elcnesh has had a chance to optimize the combat code, I just released 1.5.28.007 which should hopefully resolve the horrible combat lag. It also includes some other optimizations to card rendering so that, for cards in a pile that aren't on top, stuff that would just be hidden behind other cards anyway, like the P/T overlay or the text for fallback images, isn't rendered. This should make rendering faster in general, especially for fallback images within the deck editor when in pile mode.
I'm thankfully now at a hotel with better internet, so I can do the publishes myself. Thanks again, Agetian, for doing them when I couldn't.
Let me know if you're still seeing lag anywhere or encounter any other unexpected behavior.
Thanks for your patience as we got all this worked out.

Okay, so as of late, every time a new version is released, I delete my entire forge folder and uninstall forge, then install from scratch, to avoid any similar issues to the ones I've had in the past. And every time, I try to use the LQ Set Pictures Downloader located in the settings, and every time all the images download but none of them work. The pics are located in the right directory, as shown in the first file I attached, but when I open the image, I get that android box thing with a crack in the upper right hand corner, indicating it's a broken image, I attached a second screen shot to show you guys what I'm talking about. I have more than enough space for all the pics, so that's not the issue, and I have no idea what to do. Does anyone know how I can get my LQ Set Picture Downloader working??? Thank you ahead of time.
