I now have no hand, and neither does my opponent, lol. Eventually the game crashes, within 1 or 2 turns

EDIT:It still tells me to discard down to 7 despite not actually having a hand

I am also unable to concede, look at deck lists, ect. I still get the sound effects, just nothing happens. My opponent, despite not having a hand, is able to play stuff according to sound effects, but I cannot see any of it

@triskelion, are you on .013? I'm not having those problems on my S4 running .013. If you are on .013, could you provide more details about what format/deck you're playing and maybe provide me a copy of your preferences file? Or is there any chance you're playing for ante? I think I broke playing for ante by accident, so maybe that's it?

Could others let me know if it's working for them?

EDIT: Confirmed that there was a problem with playing for ante and I just released 1.5.28.014 to address it. @triskelion, could you let me know if that resolves the issues you were seeing?

Ok, trying 1.5.28.014 here. Seems to play fine, but there's something weird with the display of Morph cards (which are face up). In particular, the following odd things happened:

1) the AI had Skirk Marauder (face up) in play. When it attacked, it quickly flashed between face-down and face-up. Was a bit distracting but not major by any standard;
2) much worse: when I targeted Skirk Marauder with my Swelter, it visually turned face down. Zooming in on it also showed it as a face down card, but, interestingly, switching over from the card picture to the card detail box showed the full description of the card (as a face up card). And this was the critical thing: once damage was dealt to Skirk Marauder, it *did not leave play* visually (stayed on the board), and my Swelter effect was still showing as if on the stack. I was unable to continue playing because visually the game was stuck in this particular configuration. It was possible to concede and go back to the main menu, even though it was hard to do because not everything was shown to me on the screen.
3) Animate Dead also can't be used in the Android build (.014), just like in the desktop version.
4) Playing for ante does not hang for me in version .014 and seems to work alright (I got the ante dialog and all).

Hope this helps!

Re: Forge Android App: 10-03-2014 Alpha 1.5.28.015

Postby drdev » 03 Oct 2014, 07:35

I just released 1.5.28.015 which fixes the reanimation bug (and probably others related to interacting with cards after they change zones). I'll have to investigate 1) and 2).

Thanks for the help tracking down these issues.
-Dan

EDIT: I can't reproduce 2) anymore on the latest version, though I do see it occasionally turn face down as I transition between phases.

Still on v 1.5.28.010

Void snare leaves a ghost image on the stack. If I hide the stack and re-open it, it remains there until something else is put onto the stack.

Can you please update to .015 and let me know if you can still reproduce?

Random user deck in constructed mode always uses the same deck. Even after app restart.

In random color deck mode, no matter if I click "start new match" or "next game", it will always use the same deck. Is that intended?

To the former, it's possible you only have one user deck that doesn't contain any AI-unplayable cards, as such decks are generally filtered out from the random deck choosing logic.

To the latter, yes, that's intentional. Start New Match is equivalent to "Rematch", so it lets you play a new match against the same deck. Next Game just starts game 2 (or 3) of the same match, so the deck would have to be the same.

If you want it to generate a different random deck, you can either click Quit Match then Start back on the Constructed screen. Alternatively you could create a Gauntlet.

Is it possible to have multiple versions of the app on my phone?

I'm a bit stingy with data and I see version 12 was unstable - so would there be an easy way to revert to a previous version or something?

.015 is stable, so you can safely update to that.

The exact opposite is the case! I use only those decks: "AI compatible decks" viewtopic.php?f=48&t=14492
They are in subfolders under the decks/constructed/ folder.
Maybe there's some binary confusion about a flag in the decks?

I suppose it's possible. Could you please post this to the main Beta thread as I highly doubt this is unique to the Android app.

The pack that's being referred to can actually show some AI-unplayable cards and that's normal. The reason those cards show up is because there are some AI-unplayable cards in sideboards. However, since the AI does not sideboard at the moment, it's not an issue and these decks are completely AI-playable (even though some of them *do* show the dialog). It's explained in the linked thread actually. So, this is not a bug, let alone a mobile version-centric bug.
