Yeah, that permissions issue will be fixed in the next release. The downloader support I added in 1.5.19.003 sadly doesn't work without it, but I've been battling some other problems before I can release 1.5.19.004. Should be this afternoon hopefully.
Meanwhile just manually copy over files as before.
@timmermac - what errors or log output are you seeing. Are you getting a black screen when you try to start it?

So i have tried both default and journeyman skins with the missing files installed and i think the Galaxy S1 is too old for this app.
I can navigate the settings fine but my phone just sits there and then i get a pop-up that says "Activity Forge (in application Forge) is not responding.
So i think i will try it on the touchpad and be totally jealous of all you guys with anything better than a galaxy S1!

Alright, I'm excited to say that 1.5.19.004, which I just published, now properly supports downloading updated resources files on startup (if you just installed an update or for the first time), as well as allowing the content downloaders for images to work now. This means you can now download and use the app without needing to manually copy over files.

Please let me know if you encounter issues with the downloaders. Now I can get back to working on improvements to the game itself.
Thanks.

My EVO 4g LTE might not be able to run the Android version. I'm thinking I have less than 64 megs of onboard RAM. I got an out of memory error when attempting to download lq set pics.

First off, I just created an account, but I've been following this project for a while now, and I've been really excited to see the progress made.
Second, I think you've done an excellent job with this! I got it working on my galaxy S3 with very little issues. One problem I'm experiencing is when I close out of Forge, sometimes when I come back in, I just get a black screen with the menu bar flickering at the top. I let it sit to see if it would load the game but it wouldn't. However, all I have to do is to go in and close the application with the application manager. So that's not that big of a deal, just thought it was something you should be aware of to perhaps fix at a later time. So far I haven't really had any other problems.
Lastly, earlier in this thread you talked about adding the ability to put your pictures and things on an external sd card. Is that still planned? Or is it implemented and I'm just not seeing it?

That's sad to hear, as I haven't been able to get past "Finishing Setup" on the load screen on my S3. Do you have anything specific on your phone setup? Free space? How much Ram does your phone start with?ZeranSL wrote:Second, I think you've done an excellent job with this! I got it working on my galaxy S3 with very little issues.

So per some input I received, I decided to make use of the right prompt button to end the turn when you're prompted to pass priority, as well as make use of that button to either Alpha Strike or Cancel the attack (undeclare all attackers) when declaring attackers based on whether any attackers have been declared.
I've also simplified the prompt message when declaring attackers and added support for tapping to undeclare attackers as long as no creatures have banding.
Note that these changes will also apply to the desktop version of the game and will be released with the next snapshot build of the desktop version and 1.5.19.005 for the mobile game.
Let me know what you think of these changes.
Thanks.
-Dan

How long is it supposed to take to load a game up?

It takes about 5-10 seconds on my Galaxy S4. How long is it taking on your device?timmermac wrote:How long is it supposed to take to load a game up?

I think I know why it was taking so long. The names of the decks are listed, but I haven't actually transferred any decks over. Is there going to be a downloader for decks available?

How about "Reset Attackers" instead of just "Cancel", I'm not sure I know what I expect Cancel to do. I'd be worried hitting Cancel will bypass my declare attackers step and not attack with anything.drdev wrote:So per some input I received, I decided to make use of the right prompt button to end the turn when you're prompted to pass priority, as well as make use of that button to either Alpha Strike or Cancel the attack (undeclare all attackers) when declaring attackers based on whether any attackers have been declared.
