Do we know yet if dual sided cards from Innistrad are going to be an option? I read your blog posts and you seem intrigued but have not spoken on the technical side of it yet. I bought two of the starter decks and 3 boosters this weekend and while staring at those dual sided cards all I could think was "these are cool, but they are more trouble than they are worth". Seriosly the idea of using a stand in or sleves for every card just annoys me.
...
On the other hand online there is no reason why cards cant have more than one side, meaning that all those new werewolves (and vampires and test subjects) might work better in something like Forge or Magic Workstation than in real life. In computer games a card is a card, no matter if it is dual sided (or triple sided if you wanna have that through experiment), oversized and on the PC cards never have bent edges, food stains or any other identifying characteristics. So what do you think of these? Do you think they can be programed in?
I'm especially thrilled about Thraben Sentry / Thraben Militia
They just fit into a lot of concept decks I do so well.

I wouldn't hold my breath on this...one of the devs didn't seem too enthused over its prospects. I believe MAGE will have them, though.lugaru wrote:Do we know yet if dual sided cards from Innistrad are going to be an option? Hi if its not to much trouble I would like to see Draco he is good for casual domain decks and more importantly to me he is the highest converted mana cost creature in magic.
I love making a possible turn 2 kill deck with draco using erratic explosion, mox, two RU dualands, and Fireblast. For an exact 20 damage.
Other cards I would like to see are
Scab Ruinator-I would like to test out a new solar flare deck for standard and him along with snapcaster mage are the missing peaces for it.
another set I am really missing is the polymorph effect cards
Mass Polymorph, Polymorph, and Shape Anew.

Dragon Breath
It's part of a cycle but that's the one that gets used the most. How else are us dragons supposed to breathe? We're suffocating!
Edit: Oh, and Chain Lightning.

Don't hold your Dragon Breath. I've been thinking about (and thought about implementing) that card for a couple years. The back and forth is just difficult to program.Niv-Mizzet wrote:Edit: Oh, and Chain Lightning.

Bot Arena implemented these cards with Kamigawa flip ones as well. I just started using Bot Arena since it also has Nemesis, Commander and other interesting stuff. Havent has enough time to fall in love with it like I did with Forge but I feel like all these fan made programs dont compete with each other so much as compliment each other.jeffwadsworth wrote:I wouldn't hold my breath on this...one of the devs didn't seem too enthused over its prospects. And this is just the first chunk of cards. I'm guessing the next batch from Wizards with have enchantments that flip, lands that flip... crap, maybe creatures that flip into an enchantment or whatever.Milod wrote:Wolfes....give me wolfes and moaarrrr double sided cards
Magic is gonna be real weird for a while, but that said I LOVE all the non "flipping" cards in Innistrad, very cool set in terms of flavor and mechanics.

Cards I' d like to see in forge are Pyromancer Ascension and Mindlock Orb. I see good decks with them
Why is so dificult to implement them in forge?
Thanks
