Yes, I've designed it so I can port it to the desktop version as well, at least eventually.elcnesh wrote:Really cool – reminds me a lot of Shandalar, even though it will be slightly different, and it'd be great to play something like that with new cards as well!
Will you port it (or at least make it portable) also to desktop?

Is anybody else having problems with drafts in quest mode? Even after 50 wins in a fantasy quest I haven't seen any drafts. I am running an easy quest on 1.5.32.007 on nexus 10.

I haven't implemented quest drafts on the mobile game yet. Sorry.gestalt wrote:Is anybody else having problems with drafts in quest mode? Even after 50 wins in a fantasy quest I haven't seen any drafts. I am running an easy quest on 1.5.32.007 on nexus 10.

When I minimize the program and later return to it, it always restarts entirely. Is this a known issue? Is there any way around it? Is it because the program uses up a huge amount of RAM or somesuch and therefore gets killed as soon as it's minimized?

For some reason I can't get my quest to load. It worked fine for a month or so then today it just hangs on 'loading current quest.' I tried removing the dat file (cut then paste later) and then starting a new quest (which seems to work), but when I go to load my old quest I get the following error. Thank you for your time.

I did a little more trial and error and when tried with just one file in the quest/saves folder it loaded both an old quest and the brand new one just fine. I noticed that the quest I have been working on (the one that errors now) is reading 0 kbs in file size, whereas the other 2 quests are of course larger. Do you think it maybe got wiped somehow?

Currently, you can just swap them in for the files in Forge/res/music/match and Forge will handle the shuffling automatically. The catch is you'll have to do this any time you take an update and download the latest resource files, as that will likely restore the original music files. At some point I hope to make updating smarter to prevent this, or else create a folder for custom music to go.Aquillion wrote:Is there an easy way to customize the music (that is, to have it play my MP3s during battles and so on?)

Is there a limit for the number of decks in the constructed folder? I copied the decks I had from the pc version to the phone and now when I start the program it stays in the "Loading decks..." for a very long time. I don't know if the program is stopped or still loading decks.
*edit* Forge on PC is also stuck loading decks, I guess I went too far with the number of decks, 3984 so far

Hands-down best MTG app/program (or whatever you call it) that I have played!
Quick question: Is there a way to sell cards in "Quest Mode" faster, rather than selling it per piece? I.e. "Ticking" or "checking" all cards then "sell all". Because what I've been doing is clicking one card, then clicking sell -- for EACH card.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There is in the desktop game, but currently there is no way in the Android app, since there's no Shift key. Glad to hear your enjoying it otherwise.Juzu Wuzu wrote:Hands-down best MTG app/program (or whatever you call it) that I have played!

Hi drdev, this is about the card swiping, I have some recommendations...
In "full card mode", which I typically use, I think the space left/right to the cards is not necessary, you could really use the full screen width here. Also, things can look a bit confusing depending on what can be seen in the background. Maybe the background should be darkened even more. Or made (almost) white...
Look, I think this is visually confusing:

It's on a Sony Z1.
Also: If e.g. in booster pack mode, when I want to add a card via swipeup, it goes out of the full card view to ask if to pool/sidebar. I think it should stay in full card view and aks there. And then immediately change to next booster and stay in full card mode.
The question, if card should be added to sidebar or pool is maybe not necessary, you could either use swipeup on left and right side, or change the system by adding small buttons on top and/or bottom. Visually all has to be decent, to have all shining light on the cards
Buttons or similar I think are possible, because I think the devices aspect ratio is usually something at 16:9... and Magic card sizes are always the same. So you always have room on top or bottom.
Ah one more: I think a (subtile!) number indicator on how many cards can be swiped would be nice. Like "2/15"...
Thx
EDIT: Still one more idea: I think I already mentioned it, I think the deck editor could be prominently placed on main screen. It's currently so hidden. Very often I start Forge only in order to organize or review cards and decks...

Sorry. I was a little burnt out and decided to take the holidays off from working on Forge. Hopefully will have more to show in the next week or so.Traldar wrote:Hey Dan!
Happy New Year!
Any new progress on Planar Conquest? Care to post some screenshots to tease us?
Cheers,
Traldar
EDIT: So I actually had some time today to work on the tile map a bit. Here's what it looks like now (zoomed all the way out):
This screenshot is of Mirrodin, which is divided into 7 regions. 1 for each color, 1 for Sunburst (all 5 colors) and 1 for Colorless. As the screenshot shows, each region of a plane is a slice of the circular-ish plane. You'll start in the center and can work your way in any direction based on which region you wish to explore. Your matches and rewards will be determined by a combination of the region you're in and the color of the tiles around you.
For contrast, this is Ravnica, which is divided into 10 regions, one for each Guild. For multicolor regions, the region consists of a combination of tiles of all colors present in that region.
Let me know what you think.

That looks sweet. I've been hoping for something to aim for/do with constructed decks other than just grind random matches, some way to track progress and to have a goal. I however play on PC, but its really sweet nonetheless and a step in the right direction
