Re: More card requests
well.... with regards to MTG Forge being suitable..... i'm not seeing any alternatives.DennisBergkamp wrote:Most of these cards are possible (I won't be able to add all of them though). I'm not sure how suitable MTGForge would be as a play-testing tool for the serious player, however. There's still quite a few bugs and the AI isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed
Also, (looking at cards you requested like Mesmeric Orb, Traumatize, Glimpse the Unthinkable, ...) milling a deck in MTGForge isn't seen as a win or loss condition yet, the game will just keep on going.
Currently, cards with X in their casting cost are impossible, the dredge mechanic hasn't been implemented yet, and a few of those cards are pretty tricky (not sure if I can do them).
if someone shows me the url for an up-to-date card list for FireMox, then i'd happily use it.
or if someone knows a browser-based program for playing... or a mac-based (or mac-usable) program for playing, with a full card list, then i'll be sure to give it a go. AI isn't necessary, but it's a bonus.
but;
- mindless automaton is too tricky to set up
- Firemox doesn't have any of the cards i want to use
- neither does MTG Forge at the moment
- the only browser-based java platform program for playing MTG that i've found.... just doesn't work. *shrug*
you can find it here, but it appears to be unexplainedly broken; http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?p=3822710
i'm getting a little tired of downloading programs that say they might work, and then spending hours agonising over moving data files around, reinstalling previous versions of software (like python) i have the current version of, trying to diagnose what's not working, downloading other programs to read weird formats, or solve problems, only for more to appear. it's getting irritating.
can anyone point me in the direction of some form of playable MTG interface that has a full card list, and that works for macs.
