We are glad to meet you. It is OK to kinda newish. The old-timers were new at one point or another.Arcanis222 wrote:uhh, im kinda newish here, i was just wondering if you guys still needed anymore for staff or programming?
We could use some help in coding and in various non-coding areas. There is plenty of work to us busy.
The program is written in java and it is helpful if the coders are familiar with this language. They use the eclipse package for development.
I will let the coders Rares, Dennis, Rob and jpb chime in about where they can currently use some help.

We can always use some help with the testing. Each of the beta releases have their own message forum. When Dennis releases a new beta version there will be a message at the start of the forum stating the recent work-changes-fixes and new cards that were added.Arcanis222 wrote:Well, I used to play wagic, and did slightly code and fiddle around with cards and stuff, im slightly familar with how java works. Testing this new stuff and reporting your findings is helpful.
Oh, and BTW, quest mode is still in development. We can use additional feedback in this area.

Arcanis,
We could use all the help we can get, whether it's with coding, testing or feedback
If you'd like to give coding a shot, a good place to start would be to have a look at CardFactory.java, which looks very scary, but it's actually pretty easy to understand.

Arcanis222 glad to meet you. I'm not sure what best for you to do. Personally I say just spread the word about MTG Forge online and in real life. I used to post on various Magic forums just so people would "hear" about MTG Forge and download it. Advertising like this really works (although I do feel a little guilty but I'm not spamming anyone).
