Crash Report
by Esquire90 » 25 Sep 2013, 15:23
I posted this as a reply in another thread and I'm new here so not sure if I should post as a new topic but here goes:
I installed the JAVA JDK and restarted and had selected an AI deck and player deck and hit "Start" and received this message.
Thanks!

Here's a screenshot. I was able to create a deck but when I tried to play with it using Sanctioned Format: Constructed, I received the message after clicking "Start."

Thanks. Is it just your own custom deck that does not work? Can you play with a Quest or random deck for example?
If it is just your deck I am wondering whether the "/" in the name might be causing problems. Have you tried creating another deck without the "/" (or any other non-alphanumeric character) in the name?
If that does not work can you attach your "dck" file. I am not sure where that would be stored on the Mac (in Windows it is in %appdata%/forge/decks/constructed").
Cheers,
Steve

Steve! Thank you! I feel like an moron. I tried a random deck prior to downloading JAVA JDK and I got an error report but didn't think to try it again after that and it ended up working. Long story short, thanks for the help!

Great!
I think it could be the "/" - I just tried renaming one of my custom decks to "Grindstone / Helm" and it actually saved it as "Grindstone _ Helm" which suggests to me that "/" is reserved. In which case, why is it letting you enter "/" into the name in the first place? Come on GUI developers pull your fingers out and get it sorted!

Who calls it a GUI these days anymore? Does anyone talk about UIs that aren't Graphical without other modifications to the phrasing? ;pspr wrote: Come on GUI developers pull your fingers out and get it sorted!![]()
