I moved to another deck and managed to get some wins in my Innistrad-only quest on main world while the difficulty switched to Medium (though with Innistrad-only cards difficulty should be called Hard).

After switching from my nice white deck, i've been playing a dual black-red to focus on vampires synergies and additionally benefit from the amazing Olivia Voldaren card (too bad it's so rare to pick her in a game) that can convert a creature into vampire-type and can then get it under your control (assuming you get enough mana for that)

FIZANKO-VAMPIRENATION | Open
3 Banners Raised|AVR
3 Bloodcrazed Neonate|ISD
2 Chosen of Markov|DKA
1 Curse of Thirst|DKA
1 Dead Weight|ISD
3 Diregraf Ghoul|ISD
3 Erdwal Ripper|DKA
3 Furor of the Bitten|ISD
1 Ghoulflesh|AVR
2 Havengul Vampire|AVR
2 Heirs of Stromkirk|AVR
4 Mountain|AVR|1
4 Mountain|AVR|2
3 Mountain|AVR|3
1 Olivia Voldaren|ISD
1 Rakish Heir|ISD
2 Stensia Bloodhall|ISD
1 Stromkirk Noble|ISD
4 Swamp|AVR|1
7 Swamp|AVR|3
1 Tragic Slip|DKA
1 Triumph of Cruelty|AVR
3 Vampire Interloper|ISD
2 Vampiric Fury|ISD
2 Victim of Night|ISD

I noticed the AI is smart enough to sacrifice cards to destroy some of the evolving vampires (like Bloodcrazed Neonate) as soon as possible, very good.

I wish i had Liliana of the Veil as i would like to get a planeswalker on that deck, but i only got Garruk Relentless and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage , that do not fit in the decks i've been building so far (though i'll probably have to try a green/blue one soon)

Well Tamiyo won't fit obviously but Garruk might be worth splashing green for, at least until you get Sorin or Liliana.
He's useful to remove low-powered threats and generate cheap blockers (possibly even with Deathtouch), which can be even be sacrificed to your vampires?
Now, I now some vampires like human sacrifices, but I believe a few aren't so picky.

Thanks, that's a good idea, i didn't thought about setting the card as a "sacrifice generator".
Hmm, i'll have to look more closely to the cards that ask for sacrificing, as i usually avoided them so far.

I'm mostly certain he just tracks them on his own and am 99% sure Forge doesn't track these stats.

--

I finally have enough time to just sit back and relax in my new place and play some Forge. To celebrate, I've started a new quest with some very different settings than I'm used to. Unfamiliar questing for unfamiliar places!

This time around I've left the credit rewards and starting cards on Forge defaults, always ante, unlocked all sets from the get-go, and tweaked boosters to have 2 rares, 3 uncommons, and 4 commons.

...and what a pull!

Primeval Titan, Fastbond, Moldgraf Monstrosity, Intrepid Hero, Savage Summoning, Sol Ring, Mindslaver... I've only played 2 games with this deck so far, but I've completely crushed my opponents both times.

GW Deck | Open
1 - NPH - Apostle's Blessing
1 - ARB - Behemoth Sledge
1 - 8ED - Chastise
1 - DDH - Essence Warden
1 - 2ED - Fastbond
1 - 3ED - Fungusaur
1 - SHM - Gleeful Sabotage
1 - TSP - Griffin Guide
1 - M13 - Intrepid Hero
1 - M13 - Knight of Glory
1 - LEA - Lure
1 - ISD - Moldgraf Monstrosity
1 - DRK - Morale
1 - 10E - Pacifism
1 - M11 - Primeval Titan
1 - EVE - Recumbent Bliss
1 - 8ED - Regeneration
1 - M14 - Savage Summoning
1 - USG - Serra Zealot
1 - LEA - Sol Ring
1 - COM - Soul Snare
1 - 9ED - Spirit Link
1 - M14 - Suntail Hawk
1 - PLS - Voice of All
8 - M12 - Forest
8 - M12 - Plains

--

Edit: Running a UW token control deck right now and won all of these in a single pack after a match:
Spear of Heliod
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
Sovereigns of Lost Alara
Swords to Plowshares

I'm a little stunned by the amazing-ness of that pack.

Also, Elite Arcanist + Swords to Plowshares / Path to Exile / Silence is absurdly good.

Krazy's right. Forge doesn't track your performance against individual opponents. I use a Word document to track mine.

Couple things:

Is there any way in quest to get non-block cards, such as those from precon commander decks or Elves V Goblins? Or is buying singles via the store the only way?

Are things any closer towards the much requested ability to buy any single after a certain point for a higher price? You could even change it so all singles are 4x - 8x cost, all are available, and packs are the same price, and sell prices are still at what they are now. It would make packs still valuable. Please?

If you play a main world quest where all sets are available, the booster packs that Forge generates when you win a match contain cards from random sets, including the specials.

If you want to acquire the duel decks for your current quest, i don't think they're available in the spellshop.

But there's a way, a bit of a cheat though as you'll get the deck without buying them.

first download DuelDecksfizDUEL.zip from there :
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=14681

Take the duel decks .dck files you want, by example as you mention Elves vs Goblin, the decks you need are :
Elves (vsGoblins).dck
Goblins (vsElves).dck

Now in Forge, go to Quest Decks and click on "Build a new deck".
In the quest deck editor that will appear, click on the "Open Deck" button
Image

Then go to load Elves (vsGoblins).dck
The deck will now be loaded :
Image

You must now change the deck name (or it will not work) and after that go back to the deck list, save it when you're requested to do it and it will be available in your quest decks list.

Find your Forge user data (not the main Forge directory) there's a quest.preferences file in the preferences folder
Open it (you can do it with a text editor or even with notepad/wordpad)
You will find
STARTING_CREDITS_EASY=...
STARTING_CREDITS_MEDIUM=...
STARTING_CREDITS_HARD=...
STARTING_CREDITS_EXPERT=...

With the values you setup in Forge, change those values to higher than 500 if you want and save the changes to that quest.preferences file

Forge will use your new values for the next quest you'll create.

I have to say, this is the best quest I've ever had. Not a single loss and I just hit 25 wins. Started with an unrestricted card set with a slight black bias, but otherwise standard quest settings.

Untitled-1.png

This deck has only undergone small changes since the start of the quest:
B | Open
[Main]
1 - 4ED - Black Knight
1 - 5ED - Black Knight
1 - V13 - Chainer's Edict
1 - EVE - Creakwood Liege
1 - EXO - Dauthi Cutthroat
1 - 10E - Grave Pact
1 - M14 - Grim Return
1 - EVE - Hag Hedge-Mage
1 - LEA - Hypnotic Specter
1 - PTK - Imperial Edict
1 - ICE - Knight of Stromgald
1 - M14 - Liliana of the Dark Realms
1 - SCG - Lingering Death
1 - GTC - Lord of the Void
1 - CHK - Midnight Covenant
1 - STH - Mind Peel
1 - M15 - Paragon of Open Graves
1 - 3ED - Sorceress Queen
1 - ZEN - Sorin Markov
1 - MBP - Soul Collector
1 - 7ED - Stronghold Assassin
16 - ALA - Swamp
1 - RTR - Ultimate Price
1 - M13 - Vampire Nighthawk
1 - DDM - Wight of Precinct Six
[Sideboard]
1 - MIR - Ashen Powder
1 - 10E - Deathmark
1 - DDD - Keening Banshee
1 - FEM - Order of the Ebon Hand
1 - INV - Tsabo's Decree

Creakwood Liege + Grave Pact + Stronghold Assassin has saved me from several close defeats and Sorin Markov has kept the token decks at bay for the most part. Liliana of the Dark Realms is great at pulling all the swamps out of a deck and not only letting me cast Lord of the Void reliably, but also making sure I consistently draw into more useful cards. Paragon of Open Graves and Creakwood Liege both buff my creatures enough to hold off just about anything my kill spells can't take care of.

Ha! That's fantastic. I'll have to remember that one.

I've just managed to hit 52 wins and 0 losses, myself. Going to see just how far I can take this without losing. :D

I've got to share this bit of insanity XD

I've started a quest with a full carpool draft deck (w no white border cards and no stuff without artworks yet, lol). So my deck is a semi-singleton jumble of stuff I scored in various drafts as I've almost fully disabled the shop and am keeping duel rewards low.

So I just had the following happen XD The other guy had Gelid Shackles on a few of my guys, one of who was Skirsdag High Priest. I've got a Goblin Bombardment out, but if I sac anything to trigger morbid - I got nothing to trigger morbid with, and the other guy is pounding on me and has been for a while. And I can't draw anything meaningful so I chumped him to death with deamons, which I kept flinging at his head for 1 damage a piece. This story also invloved a Stenchskipper being cast on a goblinless board, and Milling the other guy with the kinship blue merfolk guy.

I love rags to riches questing! Wonderful game guys!

Though I do whish Clodsnap didn't keep popping up all the time (it's much more enjoyable with the rest of ice age block) and I have yet to see a Masques block draft once.
