Collectible Card Game Headquarters

I sell everything that I know I'll never play. That bar starts out low but is raised every time my deck gets better. This is mostly so that my card pool does not get polluted by all the garbage that Wizards has managed to print over the years. Occasionally I'll need to raise some extra cash to buy a super relevant card, and then I'll temporarily bump the bar a little higher. Every time I win cards, I sort by "New", select all of the new ones, deselect the ones I need to keep, and sell the rest. I also "Sell Extras", and I even try to get all my Lightning Bolts or whatever in the same version for just that purpose (though in Real Life I try to get as many different arts.)

In my "main quest" I have 26300 cards and 45 decks.
Several sets at 100% completion. The client takes it.

I've recently started a new quest: the idea is to be forced to experiment cards I wouldn't try otherwise (I may even get to love a card for its art, for its coolness, or whatever)
Then possibly go back to the main quest, improve the decks with some "hidden gems" that I've learned to appreciate, and go on collecting.

From there, ideally, repeat.
Ideally I'd collect most sets while slowly learning a bit of the "history" of Magic, which I mostly skipped.

I sell foils, since collecting them all would be impossible anyway (I mean 4 of each Mythic Rare... the non foil ones are hard enough). I've kept foil Elspeth though. :wink:

Whatever the "Sell Extras" button sells is what I go with. Occasionally I'll sell of a bunch of junk rares if I need the credits for a large purchase. I also try not to use P9 cards, as they make quest mode too easy too quickly, so I sell those too and buy a few boxes and/or unlock a few sets.

I wonder if it will play well with the Vraska the Unseen i got earlier, though it would mean having to make a 3 color deck (as she's green and black) , i have not ventured outside the 2 colored decks so far.

I managed to beat the Ravnica challenge "Jarad" and it happened in the same time as i completed a new 25 victories streak giving me lots of cards in reward in total.
I got a nice Obzedat, Ghost Council out of it (and a second Vraska the Unseen i'm probably going to sell as i already got one)

Really like the Ravnica world, as long as you, yourself only use the 2 Ravnica blocks and their expansion to build your decks, it feels like really a balanced game between both side, probably the most balanced games i had with mtg

I actually miss one big thing about building up your collection and that's the ability to play drafts. I whish you could (unless it's been implemented allready), but not necessarily keep the cards you drafted but get a better position to draft your reward after the tourney. That would make quest mode really, really interesting.

Well, tonight's been pretty awful.

Lost my first actual attempt at a tournament on the first match, then the past 4 matches I've drawn a grand total of 2 lands. 2 lands! How does that even happen? D:

It's a bit hard to test things when you can't win at all. Gone from 15-2 to 15-9.

If you are just trying to test things, use dev mode to cast 20 point Kaervek's Torch on turn 1.
