Not sure if it got reported, but almost all of my opponents Vanguard have been playing against me with the 'Peacekeeper' avatar. First of all, this is very annoying... but there seems to be some issue:

1) When the arrest is placed on the first card, it is OK. But successive arrests, especially after the third it seems there is some misalignment with the cards.

2) Is the opponent Vanguard avatar chosen at random? 8 out of 10 matches today were against this avatar :-s. Maybe the observation is just a coincidence or glitch.

Hello- I seem to have encountered an error with the latest version. Every card in Forge is showing up as unsupported, and none of the card arts are loading. Any idea what may be causing this?

Can you try deleting Forge/version.txt and Forge/res, then restarting the app and downloading the resource files again?

I just released 1.5.41.001, which should fix the card image downloader to not crash and to link to the newest images, so you should now be able to download cards for the most recent sets.

In addition, it includes the first iteration of network support, though I'm not certain if game play will work yet. Connecting to server and chat should work however.

Let me know if you have any issues with either the downloader or network stuff.

Thanks.

First post here, so I'd better start by saying that Forge for Android truly is the most awesome app imaginable. Thank you so much for your continuous development work on it.

Now to the question. Is it possible to have sacrificed cards stay on the table until they're resolved? At the moment, I have the computer trying to activate Seal of Doom to destroy my Devout Witness. I believe I should be able to activate Devout Witness's ability to get in there first and destroy the Seal of Doom in response, but the Seal of Doom is no longer on the playfield so I can't target it.

Thanks for your help.

Ben

Your belief is unfortunately incorrect and is a very common rules mistake. This is the classic "throw a grenade" scenario. If someone throws a grenade at me, and I shoot him as it's in the air. The grenade can still blow me up.

In the case of a Seal of Doom vs. Devout Witness, there's really no way you can stop that Seal of Doom from hitting your witness by "getting there first" (unless you can counter the activated ability). As soon as the cost is paid, it's paid. The Seal is in the graveyard after being sacrificed. It's incorrect rules-wise for it to linger around.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. That does make sense mechanically, but feels slightly odd in spirit. Magic is full of those 'grenade' moments - it's a game of action and reaction - but usually they play out like "I throw a grenade at you", "I shoot you before you can pull out the pin", "okay, my grenade falls to the floor, harmless, and gets lost in the mud".

It makes seals more powerful than I thought. I don't think there's a single card in the Masques block that can counter it once it's on the table.

Well, I disagree with your comparison here. If I have priority, and I throw the grenade, it's thrown. That's it. Nothing allows you to wind back the clock and undo it. If you have priority, you can react to the grenade being thrown, but killing the host doesn't change anything. (And in the reverse case, if you have priority, killing the host may not matter, since the grenade can be thrown in response to that). The only instance that is commonly able to follow your suggestion is Combat. Attacking is slow, it's not just "I attack, you take 5" it's "I attack, do you want to block? Do you want to cast Path to Exile?"

I'm too lazy to look it up, but something that grants protection or shroud will be able to counter the ability by responding to the activation.. Or you can try to Disenchant it to force your opponent to kill a weaker creature before playing your stronger creature.

Hello. Network support is a very nice feature.
I tried to use it. When I put no url (leave it blank) it says "connecting to server" and when I put a url it says "starting server". Shouldn't it be the contrary?

Thanks

Sounds like a typo in the loading overlay. I'll get that fixed.

Also: it doesn't work for me :D
Is crossplatform-network-play already supported anyway? Tried computer to tablet and never got past the "starting server"-message.

No, it's not quite working yet, however I'm currently working on getting it to work.

Is there a way on the android version to know my advancement towards completing a set in quest mode ?

In the desktop version, the '# owned' column (something missing from the android shop) give a % of the set that I own for the boosters and starters, plus there is the catalog where I can filter a set and sort by number owned to see what cards are missings.

Maybe the % owned for a set might be added to the name of a set when gaining a booster ?

Thank you in advance.
