Collectible Card Game Headquarters

I'm not even sure what I'm doing anymore. I have a Steel Wall and I just want it to block stuff. Clicking it during my or my opponent's DB phase does nothing. Behavior clicking other creature cards during the same phases seems unpredictable at best. What have I got wrong?

You need to click on an attacker first, then click on all creatures you want to block that creature with.
