This issue has been fixed. You will no longer be prompted when paying a colorless cost with "Add one mana of any color" abilities unless the card specifically cares how you pay the colorless cost.

The problem with this is that there are some corner cases where it IS important and which would be hard to check for.

Example: Infinite Reflection on a sunburst creature. Each creature you cast enters the battlefield as its copy and suddenly is interested in what colors you paid to cast it even though the creature spell itself doesn't care.

That's a pretty obscure corner case, and even there you can still workaround it by simply putting the mana in your pool first then paying it from there. I'd say avoiding a prompt for 99.9% of cases is worth it.

I'm just saying that it might be nice to have an option to switch between the behaviors.

I would like to be able to sort my Decks. E.g. by Alphabet / Format / Color.

That is something I'm planning to work on soon. Per my design, they will also be searchable by name and by whether they contain one or more specific cards.

Alphabetical search legend rule option

1. Alphabetic "search library effect" I sometimes create large singleton styled decks that are over 1,000 cards. When I tutor for a card it can be tedious to find the card that I am looking for. I know if I hit the first letter of the card I will find it faster than scrolling down.

This method would be even better if when searching your library it displayed your deck in alphabetical order.

2. Legendary Rule Option- Just like you can select to play with mana burn it would be nice to change the legendary rule mode. I wanted to try the new legendary rule for permanents and at the same time use the old one for planeswalkers. Just to add a bit of customization to it. So perhaps two selectors one for Planeswalker type and the other for permanents with a Legendary type on them.

For example. Your Jitte won't destroy force you and your opponents into the graveyard. But if you play a Jace both you and your opponents Jaces will be put into the graveyard.

3. Casual Wish Option- Wish cards and "Research"/Development can get cards from the entire card pool of Magic instead of just your sideboard. So far the only way I can do this is play Dev Mode and cancel my actual wish search then just add a card from the Dev mode which isn't too bad but I would like for it to happen automatically.

4. Wacky formats- Commander/Archenemy/Planechase hybrid modes. A mode where you can have multiple commanders and/or Vanguards. Perhaps a quest mode that allows you to have a commander this will even go beyond the coolness of having quest pets.

I was also considering an idea of creating a new command zone that you can put permanents in. For example the challenge mode opponent starts with a Torpor Orb and Eon Hub in the command zone (I realize in quest mode there is a challenge like this that starts with Eon Hub). In this command zone the permanents effects will act as though they are on the battlefield. But since they are in the other zone you will not be able to get rid of them and you will have to simply deal with the deck. So in a way this would be an extended Vangaurd type of game play.

I know it is a long wish list but I think having these options turned on (not default) would be cool.

Would be a great option.

Basically it would work like that in decks that don't have a sideboard implemented?

Might require too many new rules -- more feasible might be to add a new card type (Challenge Card) that would work similar to Vanguard and mimic another existing card, with names like Torpor Orb Challenge, Eon Hub Challenge, Night of Souls' Betrayal Challenge...

I know it is a long wish list but I think having these options turned on (not default) would be cool.

Playing a random game requires a bit too many clicks with new layout. I suggest changing the "Random deck" button behaviour - to make it into a checkbox that will always select a random deck before the game. At the beginning of the game, the players would be informed about the selected decks.

This way, you'd only have to check the button for each player and then every Start Game would automatically lead into a random game -- or you could leave it unchecked for one player to play a series of games against random opponents.

Would it be possible to change the edition of the card ? Like instead of a Mountain from a starter I would have 'em of Zendikar or Unhinged ??

Unless I'm missing something, there currently isn't a way to see the cards in the AI's hand. This should be changed so players can better monitor that the AI is making smart play choices.

With developer mode on, you can click on the hand icon for that AI.

Or you could give yourself Telepathy, or play with Squee Vanguard :)

Thought I'd let you know that a much improved Constructed screen is coming with next release. Here's a taste of what it will look like:

Let us know if you have any suggestions for it we might not have thought of.

Thanks.

drdev: It looks good, but I think it would still need better handling of random decks -- especially with the new filters. Playing a random match would still require four clicks at least (Random deck -> second player -> Random deck -> Start). I'd still suggest changing the Random deck button to a checkbox, which would then display on the main screen like "Preconstructed decks: Random selection" or similar.
