Some requests have made it to the issue tracker (www.http://cardforge.org/bugz) but not all of the devs follow that, preferring the forums here. Generally for development in progress you can go through the threads in the developer's corner and follow the commit logs to the repository here. There's generally no clear plan on who's tackling what because we're all just adding in what we're interested in at the time and have free time for.

I play forge quest mode as solitaire with imported decks.

I wish I could turn on random avatars for myself and my opponent in quest mode. They would be set for the current match but then when you start a new match you would get a new random Avatar.

I guess it would be a part of Avatar implementation for quest mode. I would think that random would not be that hard to include. It could be turned on when you start a new quest. Have a check box for Chaos mode.

Now that there is this fine log, based on that it would be great to be able to resume games (e.g. on quitting) or even better to save games.

Is there a way you guys could add a self updating system in a future version?

A new and improved system has been discussed over the last several years and someone will likely take on this massive project at some point in the future.

I would really love for questmode having same cards stack even if they are from a different set.
I'm still a bit confused when I see a bad moon in the spellshop with owned=0 while I have 4 other bad moons in my deck - it's just they are of a different edition.
Same goes for selling extra copies. . .

That's a good point about duplicate cards, but which version to keep? I myself tend to choose the version that has the clearest picture so the text is easy to read, but that's difficult to do algorithmically. Here's one way I can think of to solve this, but it might take a bit of work:
- Consider cards as simultaneously belonging to all sets it was printed in for purposes of calculating set completion
- In the deck editor, let you choose the desired version of each card, subject to the active filters
This would also remove the need for the 'unique cards' preference for the deck editors. I can foresee some difficulties coming up with a way to present this functionality that is both clear and easy to use, though

How do you handle selling merged distinct cards? If you have one Birds of Paradise from three different sets and you sell one of them they all of different prices. Which one gets sold? Is there a popup asking which set and the sell price of each set?

I think a popup would be a little intrusive. A couple possibilities:

• sell at max(prices)
• sell at min(prices)
• sell based on some algorithm that considers card CMC, stats, and abilities, not on the real-world price list

All would make Forge somewhat less "true to life" as far as deckbuilding goes, though.

why not the average?
The real world prices are based upon the demand and availbility. Since in forge the amount of cards from each set is infinite, I wonder why they have different price tags anyway. The only difference is often the art, only sometimes is it relevant because it changed rarity ...
ATM you can go to Shandalar, farm some 2ED boosters, sell them for thousands of credits (and I dont mean the dual lands or any other non-reprinted cards, yet cards like Shivan Dragon, Lord of the Pit, Force of Nature and similar).
Why should a card cost more then the reprinted one? In the 'real world' it is just because of the availbility and the art, yet in forge many people don't play with set pictures and the availbility is unlimited...

I agree with you, "old cards" are expensive because of availability, so I think prices should be treated considering only their real potential, I mean it's logical that the power nine and alike are expensive because they are extremely powerful, but a plain 2/2 creature with a regular mana cost shouldn't be more expensive only because it belongs to a vintage set. Changing that the game would be more challenging.

Not sure if this has already been discussed, but will EDH/Commander ever been introduced? I've never played it in real life, but it sounds pretty fun. I think it's cool how due to the nature of the format, cards that are irrellevant in Standard are bombs in Commander. I'd love to play it in something like Forge someday.

Hybrid cards (which have borders that are two colors because they can be played using either color) are currently listed in Forge as either multicolored. Additionally, gates (which can produce either color and have similar borders to hybrids) are listed as colorless. It would be nice to have hybrids and gates listed as such rather than as multi and colorless.

Even nicer would be a way to sort hybrids, gates, and multis by color, though this might require some creativity. Gates and similar multicolored lands pose a huge problem when you're trying to find them by color without knowing their names.

This is correct. When it comes to color, Hybrid cards are multicolored since they count as both colors. Lands that produce multiple colors of mana are still colorless. Only one land isn't colorless and that's Dryad Arbor. Color is based on two things, either the casting cost of the card, or rules text that state color.

Yep, Commander is planned, there are just a fair amount of changes for it to actually work. Don't worry though, it'll make it in at some point.
