Collectible Card Game Headquarters

I read this article at wizards.com regarding the upcoming Planechase variant, which takes the Magic experience into a new perspective.

Interestingly the rules seem to dictate that this is another way to play Magic, and as such, certain cards will only be functional at this type of play.

Better read the article first, it seems rather complicated.

Sounds like a fun new way to play, with the plane cards being able to really mess things up!
I will definitely buy these packs and try them!
Reminds me a bit of the oversized Vanguard cards from the early days of magic.
Those were (mostly) planeswalker cards which effected your starting handsize, life total and gave you a special ability which was either static or could be activated.
I have a few of those old vanguard cards, but playing with them never cought on in my area.
So it remains to be seen how succesful this new Planechase variant becomes.
