ok now, i have both facebook, and myspace. i play mafiawarz, it sux. yep it sux. tried,,, texas holdem. that ones pretty cool actually. now here's the idea....

OK, what if you made a myspace/facebook app, of mtg. maybe it could be forge whatever. now here's another part, to make it easier, make it the normal standard edition of mtg, like 4th,5th etc. you could make it like you start w/ a crappy deck, play someone for ante. or it could be alwayz sealed deck format. or maybe either or. think about it,, a myspace mtg app. hell,,, you could do what mafia warz does, and SELL a card whatever. yes there are ppl out there that will pay real cash for an app version of icy manipulator. look at mafiawarz!!!

i suggest you take a look at texas holdem, and its use of 8 ppl playing one hand of poker as maybe a small example of what could be possible...

There's no way this project can go public all over the net. That would be suicide.

Well, at least that's one good idea for Wizards to work on for real in social networking sites.

yeah your right wizards would sue the crap outta you guyz. they are greedy kinda, look at the amount of expansion sets would come out in a yr!! first, 1 maybe 2. then a lil bit later, they were coming out w/ like 5 a yr. hell i remember one time, they came out w/ one, 1 1/2 months later, there's another one.

well that sux. and if wizards did it, they'd charge for it or something cheap like that.

honestly, i don't like posts like that. they sound to me like "rage against, even though I don't know why".
seriously, wizards has the rights for MtG, and they may do to it whatever they want (and will only do what brings them more customers).
I appreciate the creativity they put into the game, and i'm glad that it is still living after such a long time. that isn't normal for such games.
i mean, you're right in parts. i wouldn't mind to see less expansions released. but on the other hand, Magic will only stay if wizards keeps making money with it. saying "who needs wizards?" is like saying "who needs magic?".

I enjoy java and magic, and developing for this project means fun to me. learning a new language, new libraries, and starting the project from scratch in that language is not the fun I am, and probably the most of us is, looking for.

No multiplayer sorry, not even in version 2. Playing over the Internet is hard and some cards work differently in multiplayer, so even v2 definitely won't have it, sorry.

On the other hand, you could also have multiplayer variants where all players but one would be AI
