Collectible Card Game Headquarters

Hey everyone,

I decided to try to run a deck of of MTGfanatic called "Land to the Max" ( http://www.mtgfanatic.com/decks/viewdec ... agesize=25 ) and the creator mentioned being able to cast Comet Storm after activating the land effect of Manabond, but before discarding the card from hand due to it being an instant.

I can't seem to figure out a way to make this happen in Forge - is it because the creator has the wrong idea and you in fact CAN'T cast the instant at this time?

I'm no rules expert but "instant" does not mean "anytime you want".
It might just be an illegal play indeed.

I kind of had the same though, but everyone reacted so positively to that element of his/her deck idea that I thought I must have been missing something.

No, these people in the comments clearly don't know the rules. You can either activate Comet Storm with Manabond trigger on the stack (before you play anymore lands) or you have to discard it. The only thing that really "combos" in this way with Manabond is Madness.
