Ok, I made this same post over at the cardforge page on google, but I am not sure how actively that is monitored but here is the post.

Issue: Verbose Text Box Auto Rescaling can make Forge "Soft Crash"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Game card having an extremely detailed function or ability is activated.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Main playfield windows should remain in view. What I see instead is that the text field for the card being played is resized to allow the text to be read on one line and that moves the main play field out view.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
9-18, Win XP

Please provide any additional information below.
Ok, what happens is if a game card has a really long explanation of its abilities and that ability is activated the window above the "Combat" window that shows what action is currently taking place is resized to try and show that text as a single line.

This results in the main playing field being moved offscreen to the right and there is no way to scroll over to get it that I can find. I have to close Forge and restart it.

If that text box could be made to word wrap and expand down maybe that would work. I have seen that if I make the box that holds my cards in hand small enough that I get a vertical scrollbar.

it's true that the google code page is not really used at the moment. bug reporting is mostly in this forum, in the "currently known bugs" thread. the bug was already mentioned there, as it also was in a blog comment (i have also answered the question in both locations).

currently, a workaround is to resize any of the panels. this will "lock in" the sizes, it will not resize by itself anymore. the next version saves your resizings, and that implies that it is locked in when your preferences are loaded.
