Two Quick Questions: Bank Membership and Card Pictures

Hey Guys,

Came back to playing the Forge after a long break. What great strides you guys have made! I'm always impressed.

Anywho, two quick questions:

1) For Bank Membership found in the Bazaar, could you explain this in different words? I always start a quest with Unlimited starting pool, prized cards are Same as Starting Pool, and Allow Unlock of Additional Editions. Basically, I want any card ever made to be available (how else can one compete against Swords to Plowshares, dual lands, Skullclamps, Time Walks, etc.). With these options, does buying Bank Memberships do anything for me? Or is it more for those who want a bigger challenge and has prized cards locked on a certain format.

2) Here's one that's probably been asked too many times: I've noticed that a lot of the newer block card pictures are not downloading. I think the latest to download are one of the sets in Theros. C13, M15, KTK, etc are not up. I always use download LQ Set pictures. I believe I read a long while ago that the server that is usually used to host the pictures is no longer up? I can't remember for sure. If there a rough timetable on when card pictures become available or am I doing something wrong?

Appreciate firstly all the hard work put into Forge and secondly any responses.

Hey Jace,
for 1), I think that Bank Membership wouldn't do anything if you selected unlimited starting pool, because your booster packs are based on format (legacy etc.) and not on set. If you choose a combination of blocks at the beginnning of quest generation (e. g. Theros, Journey) you always get boosters where all cards are from one block, like in real life. I haven't tested it though so take my advice with a grain of salt.

For 2): I have no real information when the new pictures will be available. If you want LQ pictures, you will probably have to dig through the forums a bit because somebody (I think Fizanko?) posted them for the newer sets.

But it's probably a much better idea to just get the HQ image downloader viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14626
It should have every set and the pictures will be of a much higher quality than the ones you already have.

Bank membership means that when you have many sets available to select packs from, you'll see the number of choices increase by one. Say, for example, I have all Modern format sets unlocked. If I have no bank membership and I win a match, I might only get to pick out of three booster packs (New Phyrexia, Khans of Tarkir, or Lorwyn). If I had one level of bank membership, that would add a pack to that list, allowing me to pick from 4 packs (New Phyrexia, Khans of Tarkir, Lorwyn, or Innistrad). I'd still only get to pick one pack, but the variety is greater.

I do appreciate the replies. I was on business for an extended period of time so I apologize for the late response.

From what I can gather from KrazyTheFox, bank membership applies to the selection of buying booster packs and not individual cards themselves. If I have Unlimited starting pool, prized cards are Same as Starting Pool, and Allow Unlock of Additional Editions, then the individual cards sold at the bank are not affected by bank membership, only booster packs. If I am wrong, please correct me.

I found this thread under the link Chris H provided me: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14626. I will try this for the most up to date cards.

Nothing in the card shop is affected by the bank membership, only the number of packs you get to choose from when you win a match. If you're using the unlimited starting pool it doesn't have any affect for that quest.
