As Forge 1.5.41 just got released and support the Origins set, i took the ORI card from here :
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12336&start=300#p182368
Converted/renamed to be compatible with Forge
It's only missing the "sample decks" promo cards (cards that do not exist in Origins booster packs, only exist in the promo sample decks and in the "Origins Deck Builder's Toolkits" ) :
http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/ar ... 2015-06-08
cards that exist in lots of previous core sets anyways

It looks like VMA/AEther Mutation is in the wrong location:
It should be - /images/cards/VMA/AEther%20Mutation.full.jpg but it's actually /images/cards/VMA/Aether%20Mutation.full.jpg

Embarrassing question, but how do I import card art beyond the stuff the downloader grabs? I've gotten image files from, say, Origins – now where do I put it? I'm on a Mac if that helps.

I do not have a Mac and so can't help much unfortunately, but according to the text in forge.profile.properties.example you should find the sets picture in one of those directories :noratora wrote:Embarrassing question, but how do I import card art beyond the stuff the downloader grabs? # This is where Forge will save your personal data, such as your saved decks,

# platform-specific, and may differ a bit from what is listed here if you have
# an older version of Windows:
# Windows: <your application data directory>/Forge/
# (usually, C:/Users/<your username>/Application Data/Roaming/Forge/)
# OSX: <your home directory>/Library/Application Support/Forge/
# Linux: <your home directory>/.forge/

# This is where forge will keep downloaded content, such as card pictures and

# Windows: <your local application data directory>/Forge/Cache/
# (usually C:/Users/<your username>/Application Data/Local/Forge/Cache/)
# OSX: <your home directory>/Library/Caches/Forge/
# Linux: <your home directory>/.cache/forge/

Open Finder and on the main menu, select the Go drop down menu. Hold the Option key with the Go drop down menu selected and you will see Library appear on the drop down menu like you see in the first image below:noratora wrote:Embarrassing question, but how do I import card art beyond the stuff the downloader grabs? I've gotten image files from, say, Origins – now where do I put it? I'm on a Mac if that helps.
After that, navigate to the Caches folder, then to the Forge folder, then pics, then cards where all the folders for all the sets are stored. You can see where I have my Origins set in its own folder, like you see in the second image below:
From now on, this is where to go for you to place images of each set that comes out or that you acquire from any missing older sets & put them in its own folder with the proper 3 letter set code or two letter code for the older sets.
Hope this helps!

Your image answers my question here
viewtopic.php?p=186505#p186505
Thanks. So all images must end in .full.jpg. Why? Does anyone keeps different sizes of images for use in Forge? But anyway, that should do the trick. I'll have to mass rename the files (easy) and rename each set folder to its 3 letter abbreviation (kinda like a pain but I can live with it ).
Now about tokens. The Android version doesn't have a folder to point to for tokens. Should I put the "Tokens" folder with the sets? What happens with tokens that have the same name but different art or effect?
Edit: It's in cache\pics\tokens. The only question remaining is what happens with tokens of the same name.
And the .full.jpg thing worked. Now to rework the Magic Album torrent to make it fit Forge

Other programs such as Magic Workstation use the .full extension as they also use files without the .full extension for displaying the cropped images that use only the artwork within the rest of the card which is a generated frame that contains all text of the card. I'm not sure why Forge uses it but I think. and of course could be wrong, but it might stem from a decision to use the MWS pics when Forge was first being developed since so many people already had those images handy at that was what had the most & best images available at that time. Magic Workstation originally was known as another program called Magic Suitcase and the naming of those images with the .full extension originated from that program.Wurm wrote:Your image answers my question here

As you can see here the Zombie tokens are all Black, 2/2 tokens but have different set code extensions in the file name to differentiate them for when Forge needs to call on them when the pertinent set is in use.Edit: It's in cache\pics\tokens. The only question remaining is what happens with tokens of the same name.
Glad that these images helped you find the info you needed!

Yep, the Forge naming is based off MWS compatibility.Bog Wraith wrote:I'm not sure why Forge uses it but I think. and of course could be wrong, but it might stem from a decision to use the MWS pics when Forge was first being developed since so many people already had those images handy at that was what had the most & best images available at that time. Ok, thanks for the confirmation Sol.friarsol wrote:Yep, the Forge naming is based off MWS compatibility.
I was pretty sure that was the case, & it's nice to know that indeed it was correct.
