200DPI Tokens

Postby pulgalipe » 12 Oct 2015, 19:00

I was trying to replace all Forge LQ tokens with the ones I downloaded from here, but I can't find a list to rename it properly.
For cards, we have a list in:
Code: Select all
ForgeFolder/res/edition/EditionName.txt
but I couldn't find an alternative for tokens.
'Cause almost my entire are made of HQ pics and only tokens are in poorly LQ quality.

Can anyone upload a pack of HQ tokens or a list of how to rename properly tokens to make it work on Forge.

Thanks. :)

OK, here's the set I'm using. BFZ tokens are not HQ yet.

Here's 200DPI BFZ tokens from recent release:

The Dragon token is just for completeness -- it's not actually used.

New version with OGW tokens:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/s8t2f ... tokens.zip

OGW has 11 tokens. One (white 3/3 Angel) is completely new, four (red 3/1 Elemental, green x/x Elemental, green 0/1 Plant and black 2/2 Zombie) are new versions for new cards.

And then there are Eldrazi Scions. We'll have to achieve some decision about those. I hope Wizards will release something like Know Your Spawn Arcana from ROE to give a definitive answer which Scions go with which cards :)

Thanks Marek14, hy i wonder if you guys would be interested if i do a batch of the XLHQ 300DPI token from
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12336
and the Torrent and other sources.

renamed into the file style that Forge does understand.
like "Human Soldier" into "w_1_1_human_soldier"

Devil (r_1_1_devil): should maybe be r_1_1_devil_SOI because it's not really vanilla. What do you think?

@Xitax: I don't see much of a problem there. Normally we don't use Edition Key if there is only one. We do change it later when there is a second one.

(I want to do some coding with the Edition key)

Well, sure, though I normally find 200DPI sufficient.

Xitax: the current convention is to not use the set codes when a token appears for the first time.

Understood. I did the set specific token work on older sets for Forge. In addition to that guideline, also I would not name a token generically if the token had an ability that was unlikely to happen on a token of that type again.

However it's not something I'm hugely attached to. Given some codebase changes and a free hand, there's probably better ways to deal with tokens.

The thing is that Magic development is, to an extent, driven by precedents. What does it mean that an ability is unlikely to happen on a token of that type again if it appears on a first token of that type? Should Wizards, for example, use 1/1 red Devil tokens again, I consider pretty likely they will re-use the SOI design.
