How do I "bands with other"?

I know how to construct a band of attackers with regular banding, but I can't get "bands with other" creatures to band together when attacking.

During attack phase, after selecting the attackers, you can click once on the creatures you want to banding.
a marker will appear (in my case blue depending on the chosen theme) on both creatures

Hmm.. looks like someone broke bands with others. Since it was working just fine when I first implemented banding into Forge.
Looks like it was broken about two years ago (r26073). Not really sure why it was done the way it was done, I'm guess since drdev did it, it had to do with the mobile client.
