Why does forge insist Verdant Eidolon must block each turn?
Nowhere on the card does it state that, I'm so confused.
My deck doesn't work because of this issue.

Nothing on this card script forces it to block each turn, which leads me to believe something in play was forcing it to. What's on the battlefield? Please take a look at the link in my signature for the type of things we're looking for.

I was dueling against the Boros 2013 per-constructed deck in quest mode, I only had out Verdant Eidolon and the Mana to cast it in basic lands, I believe Boros had 1 Sunhome Guildmage, and 1 Wojek Halberdiers, along with the lands to cast them, the version of forge I am on is 1.5.55 and I'm on windows 7

That deck has access to Mark for Death was it cast that turn?

It was on my turn.
