Forge 12/14 (unofficial BETA) version

Alright, a lot of changes for this version. In fact, it has so many changes, I'm probably forgetting to include a lot of things.
2518 cards in total.

Fixes/Features:

- HQ picture support added (thanks Vasiliy!).
- Option to enable losing when milling (on by default).
- Major combat code rewrite (in the short run, this might have caused some bugs, in the long run, this should make things a lot less buggy).
- Deck analysis option added (thanks Vasiliy!).
- Triadasoul added Transmute:{manaCost}, typeCycling:{type}:{manacost} and Soulshift:{number} keywords!
- Umezawa's Jitte is now Legendary, Auramancer a Wizard.
- Fixed an issue with the AI countering spells that trigger on cast (Sigil of the Empty Throne, Standstill, etc.).
- Timetwister shouldn't show up in both graveyards anymore.
- Figure of Destiny's 2nd and 3rd abilities should work if the creature has changeling, plus a check for the prerequisites is performed on resolution.
- Fixed Dryad Arbor / Mutavault / Mishra's Factory summoning sickness issues.
- AI playing Viridian Shaman / Uktabi Urangutan should choose its targets a bit smarter now.
- Fixed Umara Raptor manacost.
- Added Vasiliy's Deck editor filter, and it works now! It's much easier to find cards now with the card text search feature.
- Fetching Bound in Silence with a rebel should be allowed to be attached to any creature.
- Demonic Tutor shouldn't be castable with other spells on the stack anymore.
- Added a property for token images (currently set to 'pics/tokens' - just set to 'pics' to keep it the way it always was).
- Garruk Wildspeaker shouldn't be able to target untargettable lands anymore.
- Fixed a few issues in the GUI code, where Moxes that turn into creatures would show up twice.
- Adun Oakenshield's ability shouldn't be playable from hand anymore.
- Rob fixed and added more keyword functionality (spDamageCP/spDamageCP replaced by spDamageTgtCP/spDamageTgtP).
- Fixed Emeria Angel (white birds instead of green ones).
- Added Artifact type to Thopter Foundry tokens.
- Fixed a Standstill bug.
- Changed token image names: Marit Lage => c_20_20_marit_lage.jpg, Voja => gw_2_2_voja.jpg.
- Umezawa's Jitte +2/+2 ability shouldn't be targeted anymore.
- AEther Web should be castable at any time now (flash).
- AI should be able to use Tezzeret's first ability now.
- Exploration / Fastbond effects shouldn't carry over anymore.
- Vendilion Clique CIP ability should work now.
- AI playing Flight or Launch shouldn't target creatures with flying anymore.
- Small fix to Dovescape.
- Needlestorm, Oros, the Avenger, Incendiary Command and Spitting Spider shouldn't be able to damage creatures with protection anymore.
- Timber Protector should work correctly now.
- Small fix in Riding the Dilu Horse.
- Cycling/Transmute/... + future other land "hand abilities" should work now.
- Added a small fix for Scion of Oona (should pump other Scions correctly now).
- Added Frostweb Spider ability, and AEther Membrane ability.

New cards:

I'm running out of time to mention them, really. Maybe I'll post some of the highlights later tonight/tomorrow.
Most of the cards were added by Triadasoul :)

WOW =D>

Just looking at the new keywords, fixes, and all new stuff even without looking at the new cards is already so impressive.

A many many thanks to the entire Forge crew as always.

As was said somewhere, the Marit Lage token is actually black, not colorless...

EDIT: Multani, Maro-Sorcerer has wrong image link ("morcerer").

Also, is there a way to search for HQ pictures on a local machine? I don't really want to download them all over again, and the pics_link directory has absolute links (plus, I renamed by directories for the new three-letter codes, so it would be a real pain to edit the files. :()

This is fantastic!

Loads of new equipment, some great cycles, and Meddling Mage! I love being able to search by name and card text...not only that but you included the alternate wordings (old cards that have shroud but don't say shroud). I admit I was antsy for an update but I never expected this much content!

all rarities for Forge 12-14-2009

This archive contains updated rarity files for Forge 12-14. I added the missing rarity values for the new cards that were included in version 12-14. This set is not compatible with earlier versions of Forge.

This archive now contains only one set of rarity files. These files have had a rarity value assigned to all of the cards except for the basic lands, basic snow lands, and Rares three fantasy cards.

As of version 10-02 these rarity files now go inside of the res folder and are now of no use to you if you place them in the root folder. You can place a copy inside of the res folder and a second copy inside of the quest folder.

Ah, yeah actually this release should have the correct imagename ("b_20_20_marit_lage.jpg"), I think Chris fixed it on the SVN already.
There's currently no way to search for HQ pictures on a local machine, I'm afraid :(

Well, I'll wait - I like using less memory, it's not like I need the HQ pics right away :)

There is a filter in the Deck Editor. I typed in "(NOTE:" into the Card Text field and noticed that a number of cards were missing from the listing. I added a note to as many cards as I could find. There may still be several additional cards to include.

Dennis and Triadasoul made good use of this feature and were able to write the code needed to remove 14 cards from this list. The following cards are now completed and are no longer missing abilities:

Code: Select all
AEther Membrane
Frostweb Spider
Torii Watchward

Barren Moor
Blasted Landscape
Drifting Meadow
Forgotten Cave
Lonely Sandbar
Polluted Mire
Remote Isle
Secluded Steppe
Slippery Karst
Smoldering Crater
Tranquil Thicket
`
There were many bug fixes, most of which were minor cosmetic problems. There were some fixes which were medium in nature and Dennis made a major fix to the combat code.

We now have a "Milling = Loss Condition" check box in the new game window. There are several new cards which can be used to mill the library.

We can now download and use High Quality pictures in the game. You should have a high speed internet connection before you try this new feature as the pics will take up almost 500 megs at this time. Remove your LQ pics from the pics folder before you download the HQ pics.

This is the biggest beta release in the last year and Dennis and I have probably overlooked some of the new information.

No matter how good it is, you guys know how to make it better. This is about as good as Tool's version of No Quarter (the Led Zep song, not the card; I love how there's a card named after it). Which is totally the best thing ever.

Great new features and cards, congratulations on the superb work guys. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate it. :)

Well I consider this an early Christmas present. Thanks guys.

Captain of the Watch is just begging to be put in a soldier deck and Gaddock Teeg is just awesome.
