I played a few games of Momir and Planechase over the week-end with the 1.5.59 release and I ran into a few bugs:

  • Issue #1 was with Emberwilde Caliph which I got playing Momir Vig's ability. This card should get its controller to take damage whenever it deals combat damage. Instead, it caused me to take damage whenever any creature assigned combat damage.
    logs | Open
Resolve stack: Whenever Emberwilde Caliph (164) deals damage, you lose that much life. [Damage Source: Hungering Yeti (174), Damaged: Sliversmith (126), Amount: 1]

  • Issue #2 was with Battlefield Thaumaturge which the AI played during a Planechase game. This card should reduce the cost of instant and sorcery spells played by its controller. That worked, but it also reduced the cost of instants and spells which I was playing. For instance, playing removal on two of the AI's creatures reduced the spell's cost by 2.
  • Issue #3 is more of a request. Would it be possible to display which creature was played when activating Momir Vig's ability? During one game, activating it caused a prompt to appear asking me to choose a creature type without providing any context. There was no way for me to know the impact of my choice. Another time, I did not get any creature from the ability. I assumed I must have hit a 0/0 or something similar. I checked the logs, but I could not find any details. I think the card corresponding to the creature being played should be displayed in the panel on the right. The creature name should also appear in the logs.
  • Issue #4 was with the Raven's Run plane, which the AI seems unable to play correctly. Whenever it rolls chaos, it distribute the -1/-1 counters among its creatures instead of mine. Also, I am not 100% sure the choice made by the AI was legal. As far as I remember, it only had 2 creatures on the battlefield and Raven's Run requires 3. In any case I had plenty of creatures on my side of the battlefield, but the AI ignored them completely.
  • Issue #5 is more of a rules question. The AI had a creature equipped with Mantle of Leadership. I forgot about it, and decided to play a creature. This triggered the pumping ability of the enchantment. While the trigger was still on the stack, I activated Nullmage Shepherd to destroy the Mantle of Leadership. In the end the enchantment was gone by the time the trigger resolved, and the AI's creature did not get +2/+2. Is this actually correct? I did not expect the ability to fizzle, but the wording of the enchantment is unclear: It states that the "enchanted creature gets +2/+2". Is there a check during resolution to verify that the creature is still enchanted?

Hey all, first let me just say I've been a fan of this for years, I think it's probably one of the most impressive labors of love I've seen in my entire life.

Anyway, I've been unable to open Forge on my Mac. It worked up until yesterday, when, during Quest Mode, it suddenly crashed and now will not get past the loading quest part of the loader. I'm running OSX Yosemite 10.10.5.

Here's the error/bug report:

If any of ya'll could help me out so I can play again, I'd greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: OK It's not letting me post my bug report because it says it's too spammy, so I've attached a screenshot of it.

Your quest file has become corrupted. Delete quest.dat and rename quest.dat.bak by removing the .bak.

Any idea where I might locate that file? I've really been struggling to find it and would appreciate any hint on where to go.

In Windows, decks and other saves can be found in ...\AppData\Roaming\Forge where "..." is the user.

Ah, I'm on a Mac unfortunately.

Found it actually, you may have given Mac directions but you put me on the right train of thought, so thank you!

Description: Game crashed during a multiplayer game against AI (4-way FFA). Bot A attacked me with Deathless Behemoth, which I blocked with High Priest of Penance. After High Priest of Penance died, I got to choose a non-land permanent to destroy, which I targeted Godsend controlled by Bot B that was equipped to a Foul Spirit (which was made indestructible by Aegis Angel). I don't believe Godsend had exiled any creatures at this point. The crash occurred when I confirmed (click yes to) the triggered ability of High Priest of Penance.

I do not get an opportunity to sacrifice permanents to my opponent's suspended Curse of the Cabal on my upkeep.

When I kill my opponent's Thought-Knot Seer, it's having opponent draw a card instead of me. In 1.5.59 it was working correctly.

When Gonti enters the battlefield, say that I take a Reality Smasher from opponent's deck. It doesn't let me use colored mana to pay for the colorless mana in Reality Smasher's casting cost.

The reason the {C} symbol was introduced is to mark mana costs that can only be paid with colorless mana.

The delayed effect of Thawing Glaciers refers to the land permanent object with the ability that created that effect (201.4) which is not the same object as any other land permanent created by playing the same Thawing Glaciers card at a later time (400.7). Therefore, if the Thawing Glaciers card is removed from the battlefield and returned to the battlefield between the activation of Thawing Glaciers' ability and the resolution of its delayed effect, that delayed effect should not return the Thawing Glaciers card to its owner's hand as the object it refers to no longer exists, but in Forge it does. Bug previously reported here.

So I just updated to this version and every time I open the game it soft crashes. I can click continue but none of my decks load. The error log specifically mentions problems with my Atraxa commander deck. I tried to copy the URL but I am too new to post it apparently as it considers it spammy.

Any suggestions?
