I'm on a hiatus from mtg at the moment but I always keep an eye on Forge.
Thanks for the great work, it's especially great to see Modern at -8 cards to completion :)

Thank you (and the whole team) so much for finally putting in Rock Hydra. I used to build decks around this card.

Would it be possible, going forward, to list the new older cards separate? I know I'm always struggling to find which older cards are missing. Thank you so much.

Forgot to mention that Know Evil is also available in this update (a non-Ixalan "new old card" :)).

i am experiencing duplicates in Booster Draft for Ixalan set where the there's sometimes 2 cards of the same name with the addition of the duplicate being a foiled one, is this intentional?

Does this version of Forge include the Planeswalker rule update?

I'll see what I can do for this. Right now the list is generated from the differences between card script folders between releases. The bot doesn't read any set/edition data to create this list.

So... one is foil and one isn't? That is certainly acceptable to happen in a booster pack?

Wow, Volrath's Shapeshifter. One of my favourite cards finally in Forge, great work!

It immidiately triggers a rules question:
Volrath's Shapeshifter is on the battlefield
Top of my graveyard is Butcher Ghoul
VSS dies. I would expect the undying ability to do it's work. Instead the VSS stays in the graveyard. Did I miss something?

@friarsol

Since Pre ixalan Forge, I had never seen any duplicates in booster draft...

Then boom, suddenly they started appearing in new drafts.

Did the Random Foil option in the settings did a contribution of foiled dups appearing in booster draft?

Or the devs increased the chance of getting dups?

This is actually a very interesting question, I'm not sure how exactly it should be resolved. There are two related questions in this for me, in fact: the first one is, should Volrath's Shapeshifter have all those characteristics when it's in a zone other than the battlefield (e.g. when you cast it from your hand, should you cast it with the changed text if the top of your graveyard is a creature? E.g. with a Butcher Ghoul on top of the graveyard, do you *cast* VSS as a VSS for 1 U U or do you cast it as a Butcher Ghoul for 1 B?) I'm assuming that it's not so, but I'm not 100% sure. The second one is, no matter whether the first assumption is true, how does it interact with the fact that VSS itself goes to graveyard when it dies? (does it become the "top creature of the graveyard" before the trigger for Undying is supposed to fire or after it?). Also, if VSS in the graveyard is just a VSS (and doesn't copy anything), does its static ability cease to have effect and thus VSS loses Undying once it dies (and thus, Undying doesn't trigger), or does it keep Undying until after it had triggered? :/

In trying to answer the first question, I came to a conclusion (so far, correct me if I'm wrong) that since VSS's ability is a static one and there is no special zone restriction statement connected with it (e.g. "As long as this creature is in your hand, library, etc."), then it should only operate while the card is on the battlefield (thus, VSS in hand and in graveyard is just a VSS). Now, the question about the Butcher's Ghoul copied trigger still remains though - when exactly does VSS lose the trigger? Does it happen before it has a chance to fire or after? Moreover, even if it should (and, let's assume, does) trigger, should it "find" the VSS in the graveyard and get it back since it's now a card with different characteristics?

Undying is an ability that triggers when creature dies -- these abilities take "snapshot" of the situation before the card went to graveyard. At that time, Volrath's Shapeshifter had undying, and so it should trigger.

It's the same situation as a Clone copying a creature with undying -- it should trigger.

One request -- would it be possible to have "sensible graveyard ordering" option? Technically, every time multiple cards go to the graveyard at the same time (including milling, mass destruction, discarding multiple cards, etc.), their owner is supposed to get a chance to order them. However, only a very small amount of cards (last ones were in Weatherlight, I believe) care about that order, so there's not much point in interrupting the game every time and forcing the players to do something that doesn't matter 99.9% of the time.

"Sensible graveyard ordering" would enforce these choices, but ONLY if the deck contains at least one card that cares about the graveyard ordering. It could have two settings: strict and loose. Loose would only require YOUR deck to contain such cards while strict would enforce the order selection if anyone's deck contain cards of this type (in case you somehow steal one of their cards). Loose setting would be sufficient in vast majority of cases.

I noticed a (very minor) issue when I started forge up. The window is now significantly larger than my screen, and I can't seem to find the setting to make it smaller (ideally full screen). Can someone please help me find the size options?

I probably haven't opened forge since version 1.6.1 or 1.6.0, so it might not be the latest edition to make the change.

Thank you
