Vintage MTG 93/94 format with forge
by travolter » 05 Mar 2018, 06:52
Hi all!!..
Im looking for the "best" mtg engine to play magic 93/94 against computer.
The needed sets are "Alpha/beta/unlimited/revised/arabian/antiquities/legends/dark"
Are these sets fully implemented into forge or there are missing cards in these classic sets yet?
Any other alternative to play 93/94? I havent tested all the mtg engines available... only manalink2.0 and 3.0, but these ones are not complete.. ML2.0 have missing cards but available cards performs ok..i n the other hand ML3.0 implements more cards but many with bugs (waiting to be fixed yet)
Thanks for your support and replies

In the main announcement of the latest release (viewtopic.php?p=222869#p222869), you can see the 90 or so cards that are not implemented in Forge a fair amount of them are from the early days since they are quite unique and awkward in practive. As far as "which is the best engine to use" that's a much more subjective questio..
There's a handy wiki that shows a bunch of them with some comparable metrics -> https://www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/List_of_MTG_Engines

thanks so much for the reply.
As I can see forge is one of the few magic engines that maintain a list of available sets with missing cards.. so you can get an overall idea about how complete is a set.
Ill try some games with forge and check the AI, probably is very subjective.. but the amount of cards of forge make it one of the best mtg tools today
again, thanks so much for your time posting here!
