How to change server settings for online game?

Trying to play a game on one IP address between a PC and a tablet. In 'chat' on one game its says the port number, and the other has an IP. I put them in wrong and now I don't know how to change it. I looked through all the settings but see nothing for changing the IP or server or port number for an online game.
