Hi,

Does Forge for Android support storing card pictures on SD card?
You can choose the folder where you want to store the pictures, but I was wondering if this folder can be on a SD card too?

Hi,

yes, reading from external SD works. When you want to assign the new path within the app, it starts on internal SD and you click the arrow "back" in the top left corner until you hit either "storage/emulated" or what looks like a crash of the app, but just ignore this and hit back once again. Then you can continue on your external SD id (here it's called "6563-1234" for example, and select the folder containing all the "B" and "AN" etc folders.
Visually verify the chosen path after, it's easy to select too far in.

You could also manually edit "forge.profile.properties" of course.

v1.6.21.001

On this version and the last one, at least, when starting a new game and setting players to 3 and setting the third player to team 2 the two AI players still attack each other and when returning to the new game screen after finishing the game the team of the third player has returned to team 3.

Edit: Might as well add, sometimes when changing the players to three, the third player is not added to the players list, and I have to change players away and back to three for the player to appear.

Hello, when I run version 1.6.21.001 for the first time on my Pixel 3XL running Android v9, it freezes before it checks for updates/download resource files.

I accidentally hit Play Online which gave an error report (that I didn't save). Now when I go to New Game the opponent is stuck on "Loading Deck..." which prevents starting a game or changing the game type. I'm running the latest version.

edit: I've managed to fix this by renaming (effectively deleting) my preferences folder in the save data. That's really only a workaround at most though.

Also the AI doesn't seem to understand "Rune-Tail's Essence"'s ability in regards to burn spells and still tries to kill my creatures with Lightning Bolt ect.

Is there a way to make Forge put card images on my SD card instead of internal storage?

Hello,

yes, that's easy :)

It doesn't matter if you downloaded the LQ pics or have HQ pics of the cards, the default path, which is:

"Internal SD" Forge/cache/pics/cards

can either be set ingame, via Settings - Files - Card Pics Location (keep tapping the little back arrows in the top left of the selection window, even if you get what seems like a crash/error, just tap it again until you can navigate onto your external SD. Verify the selected path and make sure you didn't select too far in.)

or

you edit the entry for "cardPicsDir" inside your "forge.profile.properties"-file in your Forge folder.

You need to move the pics folder manually, before or after changing the path.
Both ways explained above require a restart to work.

Estrid, the Masked 2nd ability still doesn't work. This is my 3rd time posting it. I hate to keep bothering you guys with this. Is it a known issue or currently not possible or just backlogged? You never respond any other time I post it.

UPDATE (03/05/19): Forge for Android v1.6.21.003 has been released. It's a hotfix aimed at fixing an issue with visualizing certain card images which slipped into the previous release.

I'm not sure if this is quite the right place for this but Isochron Scepter does not quite work correctly, in that it does not count the imprinted spell as being cast, at least not with Brain Freeze, wherein the Storm ability is not triggered, even though Isochron Scepter specifically says the copy is cast.
