Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm wondering if there is a way to get the app to use HQ pics? I don't see the option in the content downloaders. Do I have to / can I import them from a desktop version? Thank you for the app, it's awesome and Im very excited to use on my new Fire tablet.

v1.6.42.001 unusable
by dungeonmasterforhire » 03 Jul 2021, 03:21
I've been using Forge for some time and love it, thank you, but this version on my Galaxy A12 is literally unusable, it is so slow. Is there an update to make it playable like before?

Dear members of our community,
We're running a poll in this thread to learn a bit more regarding what versions of Android are currently used on the devices that are used to play Forge. If you believe you can participate, please consider answering. This information will help us better plan the mobile Forge update strategy to ensure that the project can live on and continue to be developed using modern APIs so that it supports modern hardware and is compatible with modern revisions of Java and Android while not giving up support on the relatively recent versions of the system that are still actively used on your devices. Thank you for your continued support!

UPDATE (07/19/21): Forge for Android v1.6.43.001 has been released. It's a version based on the 1.6.43 release of Forge and it features all the feature updates and new cards from the desktop release, including Adventures in the Forgotten Realms (note that some of the cards are still being worked on for the AFC Commander set). Enjoy!
ANDROID REVISION DEPRECATION: Please note that Android 7 and 8 (and all lower versions as well) are now deprecated and support for them will be dropped in the upcoming releases. We will likely have one more bugfix/set completion release before then, but Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will be the last set supported on these platforms. For newer versions of Forge, you will need a device that is running at least Android 9 (or newer). It wasn't an easy decision to make, but we have to understand that for Forge to continue on and to be supported on newer devices and platforms running newer versions of Java, we have to upgrade our toolchain and our dependencies, which, unfortunately, also means that we have to drop support for some of the older platforms. Thank you for understanding and sorry for the possible inconvenience caused by this action.

I recently encountered a bug when playing token doublers (i.e. Doubling season, parallel lives, etc). They don't trigger when a token enters. I checked the gamestate and the cards on the field, but there isn't anything that should stop these triggers from happening. Is there anywhere else I should check?

Not sure if there is something wrong on my end. I just removed the old install. Downloaded the new one and installed and it's so slow. Wasn't like this before.
It's unplayable.
I've a huawei p20 Pro. So I've loads of power.
Any ideas what might be causing the slowness.
Other games play ok
I don't have loads of app running

Anybody know if there's a way to go back to an old version of Forge, and have it work (because of the different resource files)? I don't care that Forge is no longer supported on my phone, but I'd like to go back to a previous version that worked and, most importantly, let me edit decks.

This may just be a user error problem, but do cards that exile opponents' cards facedown for you to cast later just basically not work? Ones that exile them face up seem to have no issue, but if they are exiled face down I can only seem to view them, not cast. Any ideas if this is an issue with the app or the user?

UPDATE (10/16/21): Forge for Android v1.6.45.001 has been released. It's a version based on the 1.6.45 release of Forge and it features all the feature updates and new cards from the desktop release, including MID and MIC sets, as well as some nice improvements to the user interface including animations. Enjoy!
ANDROID REVISION DEPRECATION: Please note that Android 7 and 8 (and all lower versions as well) are now deprecated and support for them will be dropped in the upcoming releases.
