Adding animations has caused bugs to be introduced.

If you double tap a land card while paying for a spell it gives you two mana.
If you double tap a land without casting any spell you get a java.util.NoSuchElementException
at java.util.concurrent.LinkedBlockingDeque.removeFirst(LinkedBlockingDeque.java:453)
java.util.concurrent.LinkedBlockingDeque.pop(LinkedBlockingDeque.java:777)
...

Another problem I'm having is that Forge is not displaying any card images at all. I've checked and it is pointing to the correct location.

When navigating upwards in the folders when selecting, it gives an error when reaching /storage
java.lang.NullPointerException:Attempt to get length of null array
at forge.toolbox.FList.setListData(FList.java:80)
at forge.toolbox.FFileChooser.setFileListForDir(FFileChooser.java:194)

Android 9
Samsung Galaxy Note8

The animations are not part of mana ability, it's just a visual effect. I tried reproducing the double mana and double/triple tapping the lands while casting a spell and I cannot reproduce your issue. If your device cannot handle the animation, turn it off via settings. If you still have problems with release version, try using the latest snapshots and clean install.

In older versions I could specify where the images downloaded. This is a huge benefit for 32gig devices, as the OS takes a good part of that. Is there any chance of that feature coming back?

That feature is available for android 10 and below. It's unavailable for android 11 and up because of scoped storage enforcement.

Any chance of a work around?

No workaround. You can try old versions of Forge but it's not recommended for Android 11 and up (it will freeze or not loading various files, etc.. since old versions will try to read folders and files outside its scope)

Hi guys! I'm having troubles with the app, when I try to make a deck, the deck editor is too slow, i imported some decks from the clipboard and the images start to load very slowly and the app becomes unusable and I have to force it to close. I have a Moto G stylus phone, I used to play in a Samsung Galaxy J7 prime with no problems at all. What can I do?

try turning off auto download missing card images and download all available card images and install it to your device.

Hi from Italy!

I'm having problems with the last version of the app.

Everything Is really slow, even if my phone is pretty recent. Its specifics are in the attachments.
When I want to digit or click on anything I need to use double click, because it's superslow.

Anyway, thank you for your work, I love your app!

Lots of love from Italy,
Valerio.

Nope! The above indeed does not work. On android 11 tablet press new deck in deck management, locks up at little "loading" image then exits program iself without my permission and locks up my entire tabletbto boot! So what is going on, is tbere a fix or a real app to download instead of this one pleasecand thank you! Oh and inded all the little forge files or whatever they be is in yhe little "obb"directory, so no to that as a "fix"!thank you!

Android 11+ users needs to copy the existing Forge folder to the new location. First run Forge and let it download and install necessary files. If Forge is not running (after Android 11 update, white screen bug), disable storage permission and enable storage permission again for Forge. After successful run, exit Forge then copy your existing Forge folder to Android/obb/forge.app (keep the existing Forge folder as a backup).
This is what problem is and indeed proclaimed solution does notvwork as my files is already in there!

Forge for Android v1.6.46.001 is going to be slightly delayed due to technical difficulties we're currently experiencing with the build process. Hopefully it won't take longer than a few days to solve these issues and then I'll be able to make a release, as usual. I'll keep you posted. Sorry for the delay! :)

UPDATE: Fixed.

UPDATE (11/15/21): Forge for Android v1.6.46.001 has been released. It's a version based on the 1.6.46 release of Forge and it features all the feature updates and new cards from the desktop release. Enjoy!

ANDROID REVISION DEPRECATION: Please note that Android 7 and 8 (and all lower versions as well) are now deprecated and support for them will be dropped in the upcoming releases. For newer versions of Forge, you will need a device that is running at least Android 9 (or newer). It wasn't an easy decision to make, but we have to understand that for Forge to continue on and to be supported on newer devices and platforms running newer versions of Java, we have to upgrade our toolchain and our dependencies, which, unfortunately, also means that we have to drop support for some of the older platforms. Thank you for understanding and sorry for the possible inconvenience caused by this action.
