My bad if wrong forum: Can you help me open Forge w/ Java?

Howdy. I'm on Windows, trying to get into Magic w/out spending money on smthng I might not even like.
Dl'd most recent Forge (1.6.19), extracted w/ 7zip, Dl'd most recent Java (whatever you get DLing it today), and changed Forge's "Open with" property to (in Java's "bin" folder) first "Java" which briefly opened and then closed a black box, second "Javaw" which also gave the loading cursor but no box, and finally "Javaws" which shows the Java loading screen, then "Unable to launch the application." the details of which say "[redacted because my post looks too spammy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs, but I can attempt to post in a response" Caused by file too large
I am a total noob. What am I doing wrong?

Double click forge.exe to open the game.
