Still a great achievement to put everything up-and-running for using in Forge

I'm interested in the website where you found the images. Can I ask this?

Well all of the Images are on Scryfall. There is also a program called Gatherer Extractor which I used to automate the downloading process. There are other programs, but this one is the best IMO.

I'm not sure whether it does, but JPEGs compress to a smaller size.

I'm currently unaware of a place that has better quality, yeah.

yeah but I'll suggest using the 200dpi on android and the 300dpi on computer.

I think it would be very cool if you ask the developers of Forge to add the HQ card pictures to Forge!
They could make a content downloader for HQ card pictures, because all images are in the right format to use in Forge.

Many people could have access to HQ card pictures, automatically downloaded just like the LQ card pictures

Hi

Here's a first update of trying to make the images work.

- Because my internet speed is very slow, I must download folder by folder (zipped). It are a lot of folders so I don't have them all yet.

- The folders I already have downloaded, I have extracted to the right place so Forge can find them (didn't try Forge for Android yet).
I tried the deck editor to see if all images load correctly and ... they do, in awesome quality!

- A first problem I found is this: 2 cards from folder "4E" are not shown in Forge. It are the cards Aladdin's Lamp and Aladdin's Ring (they are in the attachment). I think it's because there is a "'s" in the card's name and the file name of the JPEG is not right.
I have no knowledge about how the file name must be. Could you check this please?

I just saw another card Ashnod's Battle Gear that doesn't work too, so it must be the "'s" in the file name I think. I just confirmed all cards with a "'s" in the card's name, don't work in Forge.
So I think the whole card collection must be updated for cards with a "'s" in their name!

The more cards I have downloaded, the more info I will give you about cards that don't work I didn't see other problems yet.

Are you planning to update everything directly on the google drive? If yes, please let me know which folders you updated, so I can download those folders again. I think I better wait to download more folders, because the "'s" problem will exist in the whole card collection I think.

Maybe the easiest would be: give me a list of folder names you updated, so I can download those folders again. Now this google drive is very handy

If the whole collection is working correctly, wouldn't it be a good idea if you contact the Forge developers to ask if they could add those images as a 'content downloader' in Forge for HQ card pictures?
The quality is really good, it's like having the real printed card in front of you

I had some free time and checked the complete "4E" folder (using the Forge deck editor). Below all the card images from the folder "4E" that are not displayed in Forge.

According to me, it's a problem with all image files that contain a " ' " character in their name.
This same problem also occurs in all the other image folders.

I didn't see any other problems, by which I mean: all other card images (that don't contain a " ' " character in their name) are working fine in Forge!

Not sure why the apostrophe has been replaced with an underscore, but I think Forge expects the apostrophe.
