I have been real busy with the enPump work. I still have found time to play the first 5 matches in a quest game. I'm glad that I discovered the icons and placed them in my pics folder ... a nice improvement.

I won both of the first two games in my 5th match and enjoyed the bonus.

This is great success! I haven't had much time for anything other than working and getting my driver's license lately, but I'll definitely try out this new version of Forge.

Thanks Dennis, and everyone behind this. :)

I have fixed the cards.txt file that comes with this version and the following cards should work correctly:

Sacred Nectar
Festival of Trokin
Wandering Stream
Reviving Dose

Download the attachment, un-zip the archive and place the included cards.txt file in your /forge0402/res/ folder. :D

EDIT:

I missed three cards, please use the newest cards.txt file found in the next message.

I discovered that I missed three additional life gaining spells that are not working correctly and this is this newest update to the cards.txt file. :)

Fixes:

Dosan's Oldest Chant
Nourish
Rejuvenate

EDIT:

I missed another card, please use the newest cards.txt file found in this message: Re: Forge 04/02 (Unofficial Beta version)

Seeing as we now have 625 revisions on the SVN it is amazing that problems like this do not occur more often. :)

I downloaded this version and entered quest mode, continue and there was an old save on easy mode with 87 wins and 1 credit.

I got some errors when I was downloading pictures:
Code: Select all

5/45 cards got this error.

I've got a question about the deck building in quest mode. You get 1 card of most of them. A new deck and you add all white cards then you deselect all white cards and select them again. All white cards are now available again to add to the deck. So to my question, should it be like this?

In this deck building mode there's also a small bug for me. When I hold the mouse over the picture it are redrawn at the right down corner. It seems like the area for the picture are way off. At the same time the area where "Deck" and "Filter" are the buttons "Change picture", "Remove picture" and other things appear instead. When I'm not hovering over the picture all is reset and normal :)

Keep up the good work!

While you are in the "Quest Options" window you can select a quest length and then click on the New Quest button. This will allow you to start a new quest with full credits and your very own starting pool of cards.

I got some errors when I was downloading pictures:
`
The "Downloading" window allows you to select one of two servers when you download the HQ pics. Try the other one and you will likely get the missing pics.

Nice work with the card shop, indeed, but it's a bit buggy...When i buy a card from the shop sometimes( about 5 times) it simply vanishes..It doesn't appear to the card pool neither to my deck.any suggestion?

The Quest mode is so addictive.
I just continued the existing quest that came with the current build and now I am at 202 wins /0 losses.
I second the option to have basic and snow lands always be available in the store with a buy/sell of 1.

Very strange, I haven't seen this happen yet, but I'll see if I can reproduce it.

Regarding the missing text in life gaining spells, Renewed Faith is not working as well.

Thank you ... I seem to have missed that one when I was fixing the others. :D

EDIT:

I missed 5 more cards, please use the newest cards.txt file found in this message:

Well, bringing in my old questData didn't work and probably will never due to all of the changes, instead producing the following upon trying to exit a match:
Code: Select all

It's about time though that I move over to the new version and all its new quest opponents and features (including the card shop! :) ). Playing with five copies each of Time Walk, Timetwister, and Regrowth was hilarious for a while but getting old. Starting a fresh quest feels like playing after the Wrath of God has nuked the card pool, but it'll soon be back given how much of a Forge-junkie I am. (At times I still do miss my old cards, though.)

As a consolation, however, I got one of those Time Walks (with a full value of 35223) back in my opening pool! Neato!

EDIT: What would happen should I sell a card currently being used in a deck and then try to play with it? Or sell all of my mana sources (or even every card!) and drain away all credits by selling/re-buying? (Snow-Covered Islands and Mountains are a respectable source of early income, by the way. I'm not sure whether this was engineered or was just an artifact of the market used to assign values to cards.) Also, the special hybrid cards (e.g., Spectral Procession) can't be played on the cheap with the appropriate colour of mana, and trying to use mana from your mana pool causes an error (I was using snow lands in case that's relevant). I think one time that I cycled a Renewed Faith, my life points increased by 2 a little later. I can't be certain about that, though. Finally, Guilty Conscience apparently doesn't notice damage from the mandatory upkeep of Nettletooth Djinn (or in a more competitive setting, probably Juzam Djinn as well).
