Big update.
3185 cards in total.

Fixes/Features:

- Added a new quest mode.
- Added opponent's notes into Quest mode.
- Made a separate directory for icons and quest specific images, referenced this directory in the properties files.
- Made a bunch of fixes on Landfall (didn't notice +2/+2 pumps weren't optional).
- Made some optimizations in the equipment code.
- Fixed Goblin Assault (shouldn't lose 1 life anymore).
- Made some improvements in AI code for Oblivion Ring.
- Added stackdescription for Kor Cartographer.
- Converted Quest AI decks to use silly freak's text format. It should be very easy now to add in new opponents (using the easy, medium and hard txt files).
Also, this should remove incompatibilities between new versions of Forge and old quest files.
- Removed "Pay mana cost" for Mishra's Factory / Blinkmoth Nexus (and other cards, probably).
- Fixed the damage triggers of Nettletooth Djinn, Juzam Djinn, Fledgling Djinn and Serendib Efreet not using lifelink during upkeep.
- Added "{cost}Sacrifice CARDNAME: Add {mana} to your mana pool." keyword which allowed for a lot of cards added.
- Converted Composite Golem and Black Lotus to use this keyword (they are actual Mana Abilities now, so they can be used to pay for upkeep costs etc.)
- Added Annihilator keyword.
- Slapshot5 added Rampage X keyword.
- Slapshot5 cleaned up some of the
- Fixed some AI mistakes of cards using sortCMC.
- Made all prices of basic lands a constant 5.
- Shop will always include 10 of each basic land and 5 of each basic snow-covered land whenever the shop list is repopulated.
- Minor text display improvement: keywords following keywords ending with a period will be displayed on the next line.
- Fixed being able to tap opponent's land (and other manasources) for mana.
- Fixed Merfolk Sovereign (should be able to target creatures with changeling).
- Fixed a bug where equipment on creatures stolen with Control Magic-like effects by the AI won't be able to equip another creature.
- Chris converted a large number of "This card..." or "This creature..." keywords into "CARDNAME..." keywords.
- Added Levelup keyword.
- Slapshot5 fixed Crumble.
- Slapshot5 added "Prevent all damage that would be dealt to CARDNAME by artifact creatures." and "CARDNAME can't be blocked by artifact creatures." keywords.
- Daru Encampment should be able to pump changeling creatures now.
- Fixed some issues with Champion creatures, and Wren's Run Packmaster in particular.
- Fixed Ajani Vengeant.


New Cards:

A LOT of new cards. Most of them added by Slapshot5, some by Chris and Jim... too many to list, really.
Quite a few cards from the latest set are also included.

The CCGHQ HQ pic team now has an archive of HQ Rise of the Eldrazi pics available for downloading. Visit this link and scroll down to the bottom of the message and you will find the DOWNLOAD LINKS: section.

HQ Rise of the Eldrazi Released

You should download the Fulls and the Tokens archives. These jpgs have file names which are not compatible with Forge. You will have to rename these pics and then move a copy of them over to your Forge/res/pics/ folder.

Cool, I'm glad you guys like the new Quest mode (I'm planning on adding more things to it, it's probably also a bit buggy right now).

Some more notes on this new mode:

The Quests button will be grayed out until after like 25 wins. And then, after this happens, quest games are only allowed to be played every so many games (so after finishing a bunch of quests, the button might gray out again, just play a bunch of regular matches, and the button should become enabled again).
It will say certain quests are "Not Repeatable", I haven't finished coding this part yet, so for now, you can finish them multiple times.
I don't think I've coded in a max yet for Max Life, but I'll probably set it to 25 or 30 (Shandalar was 30, wasn't it?).

It contains the images for the tokens of the pet and the plant, as well as the icons. Just unzip to your /res/pics directory.

The new Quest Mode is great! All the Level Up creatures, and Reveillark for which I've bugged you guys so much. :D Also, reading the credits given at the decks' description made me sorta proud. :mrgreen: I hope I'll have that kind of time to put into Forge again soon.

all rarities for Forge 05-02-2010

This archive contains updated rarity files for Forge 05-02-2010. I added the missing rarity values for the new cards that were included in Forge version 05-02-2010. This set is not compatible with earlier versions of Forge.

This archive now contains only one set of rarity files. These files have had a rarity value assigned to all of the cards except for the basic lands, basic snow lands, and Rares three fantasy cards.

As of version 10-02-2009 these rarity files now go inside of the res folder and are now of no use to you if you place them in the root folder. You can place a copy inside of the res folder and a second copy inside of the quest folder.

As of version 04-11-2010 another set of rarity file appears in the /res/draft/ folder. You can if you want, move a copy of the all rarities into this folder but this will include every card your potential draft pool. Draft mode will likely be more fun if you place rarity files that include a limited set of cards into this folder.

Deadspeak (or if you prefer, Mr Nitpick ;) )

You would have to be able to compile and run java (through Eclipse, for instance), then access our SVN through an SVN client (subclipse is a good Eclipse SVN plugin), and grab the latest code. Compile and run it, and Hada Sky Patrol should be fixed in that version. Changes on our SVN can be seen here: http://code.google.com/p/cardforge/source/list
(everything from r933 on is new compared to this 05/02 beta).

Easier is just to wait for the next version (I will probably release something next week or so since we added so much stuff, there's bound to be a bunch of bugs).

Two totally independent questions, munged together to ensure incomplete answers :).

When I try to play the quest mode now, I get an error message "No deck directory specified." What am I missing?

Also, I get errors from both HQ image sites for 26 of the new cards. These are in addition to new, but unlisted WW and ROE cards. I tried to compile a list of the imageless cards but apparently I don't know what the various text files of images mean. There are 3212 listed cards in card-pictures.txt (what I assume are the low resolution images) and 10864 listed cards in the various card-pictures_*.txt files in the pics_links directory (non-token images and I assume these are the high resolution images); however, I have 3306 card images in my pic directory (plus the 26 broken links). These just don't add up. Rob used to have a tool that would quickly let you know which files were missing images; is that tool still available (and working since the directories were restructured)? Do we have a current list of cards / tokens for which images are not yet available?

About the card images: I'm having the same problem. The mirrors we use don't have all of the images, and I have no idea why...
The only current way I know of fixing this is to download some of the HQ image packs somewhere else on the slightlymagic forums, and manually renaming + copying them.
I've started doing some of this already, I could possibly post something on Mediafire once I've finished it.

About the quest error... is this on top of an old install? It's important to have the /res/quest/decks (with all containing deck files) folder in there, also the main.properties and quest.properties files are changes in this new version.
