Loving Forge, keep it up!

Just jumped on; partially to congratulate you all on the best MtG software I've seen to date (bear in mind I've played with most, if not all, available...), to make a small request if possible and to offer my skinning services if required...

So starting with the congratulations, as I stated Forge is a truly excellent piece of software that, for me at least (the missus is a fairly avid MtG fan too... but she's not had a look in yet), allows the refinement of tactics and testing how those cards you've fancied for a while but haven't bought yet would work in your current deck. Smashing. Nice, user friendly GUI with reasonable search facilities and an impressive card database and the AI, whilst basic, is capable of providing a welcome challenge in the early stages of a game and especially during the quest variant.

The request is that I'd like to see more card abilities added, such as banding, etc... oh and more cards, obviously

Keep up the good work.

Dan

Thanks. Magic is a great game and Forge lets people experience some of Magic's magic. (Or rekindle there love with Magic.)

Out of interest are there any plans to develop a 3d "version" still utilising Java is the platform?

No, the user interface is very complicated to design. (That is why most free programs have hard-to-use user interfaces.) Maybe in the far future, a year or two, the user interface might be updated. I'm thinking something like Shandalar, more graphical but yet still simple.

I love Forge.

Forge (for me) is like Solitaire. It makes a game that's complicated and time consuming to setup simple and fun. Because it's simple, I think it'll be more timeless than games like WTH. The continual expansion of the card base keeps it interesting, but I think it has the simple pleasure appeal of a card game one can play anytime with minimal effort.

That was my goal: simple, quick fun. I'm glad that Forge appeals to other people too. :D
