As always, this release of Forge features an assortment of bug fixes and improvements based on user feedback during the previous release run.

Random Modern World
Just like the random standard world, there is now also a random modern world for quest mode that includes randomly generated deck archetypes and is limited to the modern card pool

The Forge archive includes a MANUAL.txt file and we ask that you spend a few minutes reading this file as it contains some information that may prove useful. We do tend to update this file at times and you should quickly read this file and look for new information for each and every new release. Thank you.

The archive format used for the Forge distribution is ".tar.bz2". There are utilities for Windows, Mac OS and the various *nix's that can be used to extract/decompress these ".tar.bz2" archives. We recommend that you extract/decompress the Forge archive into a new and unused folder.

Some people use the Windows application 7zip. This utility can be found at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html. Mac users can double click on the archive and the application Archive Utility will launch and extract the archive. Mac users do not need to download a separate utility.

Once the Forge archive has been decompressed you should then be able to launch Forge by using the included launcher. Launching Forge by double clicking on the forge jar file in the past caused a java heap space error. Forge's memory requirements have increased over time and the launchers increase the java heap space available to Forge. Currently you can launch Forge by double clicking on the forge jar file without a java heap space error but this is likely to change as we add in more sounds, icons, etc.

- The Mac OS application version -
We provide separate macOS builds of desktop and mobile (backported) Forge packaged as native Mac applications. Please check the relevant thread for details and download links.


- Online Multiplayer -
For local network play you should only need two systems running Forge. One to host and one to join and play. For remote (over the Internet) play you will need to ensure that the port used (36743 by default) is forwarded to the hosting machine.

The AI will activate the ability of lands like Treetop Village and Ghitu Encampment multiple times when it has open mana, despite the extra activations doing nothing.

The AI will not activate the ability of Wayward Soul when it is targeted by removal, despite this often being beneficial.

Cards such as Furnace of Rath and Dictate of the Twin Gods should still double the damage from emblems, but with Chandra, Awakened Inferno, Chandra, Roaring Flame, and Chandra, Torch of Defiance, the emblems only deal their normal damage.

I think I noticed that with Ugin, the Ineffable mass-bounce abilities that use the script ChangeZoneAll don't trigger the token to return the exiled card to your hand (like in Flood of Tears, River's Rebuke, Engulf the Shore etc.) Targeted bounce effects that just use the ChangeZone ability work as far as I can see.

You can find the older versions at https://downloads.cardforge.org/price-backups/ but obviously it won't include anything new

To be clear this means the issue is with cardforge.org not generating a correct list - Forge pulls the latest file just fine, but it's empty.

Looks like Scryfall changed their API for price data and because they make breaking changes often, I have Blacksmith ignore stuff like this. It usually doesn't affect anything. I'll get this fixed up soon.

Deadly allure doesn't work and I was wondering if someone could help me. You see, I have done alot of picture work on my own forge installation but I only have my cellphone and can't install a additional forge to see the difference in what comes stock and what does not anymore. If someone could help me out with a list of picture sets from a fresh install It would benefit not only me but the entire community as I plan to upload the difference to the LQ pics section of the forge topic in the forum..
