Android Cellphone Forge Duel Instructions

My buddy and I want to play against each other using Android Forge on our cell phones.
1. We both launched the same latest version of Forge.
2. I clicked OK to host my own server.
3. He entered in the IP address [colon] 36743 shown on my phone.
4. My phone says "must have two players"
5. His phone continues to try to connect.

What are we doing wrong here? How do we get it to work?

Have you checked/tried this?:

Other than that, Forge network play on Android won't usually work over mobile data connection, since port forwarding is not supported, usually. If you tried it first using mobile data, that is ;)

If the above guide using a personal hotspot doesn't work, you could try configuring your devices to use with static IP adresses in your WLAN, which is needed for correct port forwarding, and specify this in your routers config.

Hope that helps.
