Forge mobile pictures
by ancientmagicwizard » 25 Nov 2020, 01:01
Hi
I'm trying to copy card pictures downloaded using gatherer extractor to my SD card.
I use the same subfolder names as Forge for desktop and also the file names of the pictures are in the format of Forge: name.full.jpg
When I choose the card folder in Forge mobile and restart, the images are not used in the deck'builder.
Is this a bug or what am I doing wrong?
The same pictures work perfectly in Forge desktop.
thx

I found the problem.
Some sets are not stored in the subfolder with same name as the set for example LEA is stored in A folder.
Does anybody know why this choice was made for some sets not to use the set code as the folder name?

Hey
Guess you didn't check the link in the thread I hinted at recently?
Here: https://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=30100&p=246114#p246126
My first response there contained advice to check this out first, if you go manual:

I'll quote myself then:

Have fun (and patience) collectingCptKird wrote:Each set is defined by its edition txt-file in Forge/res/editions. Open up "Limited Edition Beta.txt" for example and look at the top of its contents:
[metadata]
Code=LEB
Date=1993-10-01
Name=Limited Edition Beta
Code2=B
...
etc
Creating subfolders inside your cardPicsDir need to be named according to either Code or Code2, in this case, the subfolder needs to be named "B" because:
If both set codes differ, use Code2 (mostly for older/very old sets).
