Forge High CPU Usage / Memory Leak?
by HarlequinCasts » 10 Mar 2022, 00:46
Hi all,
I've grown pretty used to Forge randomly using up a ton of CPU and or memory but just wanted to ask if there are any common work arounds to this? I understand about giving java more memory but that doesn't seem to really fix the problem.
I typically do a cube draft within forge and then play all 7 opponents. It is usually a race against the clock to finish the opponents before the game slows down until it is either unplayable or crashes. Forge will start to use up more and more ram (> 2-3 GB) and take up more and more cpu. I've done a full reinstall of both Forge and Java.
For the record I am on a pretty high end PC. Intel Core i7-10700K, 64 GB Ram, RTX 3080, Windows 10. Would love to be able to finish cube drafts regularly if there is any workaround to this. Thanks!
