Feature Request: Option to Exclude Alchemy Cards
by PNigl1994 » 20 Jul 2024, 06:39
Hello everyone,
I've been enjoying MTG Forge for a while now and appreciate all the hard work that has gone into making this fantastic platform. However, I have a suggestion that I believe would enhance the experience for players like myself who prefer to stick with paper Magic cards.
Is there a way to implement a feature that allows users to exclude Alchemy cards from the card pool? I want to play with only the cards that exist in paper Magic.
Additionally, it would be great to have this option in the settings for the Adventure Mode as well. This way, players can enjoy the Adventure Mode without having to deal with Alchemy cards, ensuring a more authentic and traditional gameplay experience.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and for all the continued development on MTG Forge.
Best regards,
PNigl1994

Hello.
Many players, like yourself, prefer to stick to the traditional paper Magic experience. Excluding Alchemy cards from the card pool would certainly cater to this preference.

Geometry Dash
Your feature request is well thought out and clearly articulated. If you haven’t already, I recommend posting it on the MTG Forge forums or GitHub issue tracker, where the developers actively engage with community feedback. Since MTG Forge is an open-source project, if the feature isn’t already planned, a developer might be able to implement a card filter to exclude Alchemy cards. You could also check if there’s an existing workaround, such as modifying card sets or using a custom deck filter.PNigl1994 wrote:Hello everyone,
