Nice work, even at the smallest size the is recognizable. Rob would like to have 32 x 32 icons. We can try that size and see how the user base responds. If they find that 32 x 32 is too big we can then downsize.
Can you save the largest icon as a separate png file, zip it and then attach it to a message?

Thanks, let me do the icons in Corel Draw first.
And I also played around with the source code and this is what I have so far.
Maybe we can make this game a little prettier
Let me know if you guys like it or hate it.

Chris, which icons do you need me to work on?
And maybe you can also specify the color for each icon?
Red for attack, maybe green for block, and ...

Sloth did the original work to get the attack icon to appear in the new gui. He mentioned that he would be away for a couple of weeks. I glanced quickly at the code for the attack icon, it should be possible to also add in a blocking and a summoning sickness icon.
I think that these three icons would give this idea a good test once we release a beta with the code and the three icons. It will likely be another couple of weeks before we are ready for the next beta. So there is no hurry.
BTW, is it possible to add a light-colored non-transparent color inside of the circle? That is, outside of the circle can be transparent for the card jpg to show through. I think that having the card jpg to show through the inside portion of the icon might cause the icon to become less visible when over laid on top of a card using a similar color. Just a thought.

Wow choppic, that IS slick.
The transparacy can even be partial, and still help make the symbol "pop", visually.

Three 32x32 icons for attack, defend, and summoning sickness.
Btw, is it okay if I create another thread for GUI improvement?

Thank you. I merged the three icons into the SVN. You can start another topic.

Played around with this a little bit (had a few minutes
).
I think the symbols fit right in, will commit code to use them.

We are glad that you found a few minutes. I updated my local copy and played a few games. I like the icons and the symbols are fairly easy to recognize. I got used to them before the first game ended.

Thanks for adding them!
Above anything else, I'd like to see a Life icon (the Ankh in your sketch looks like a good way to go).
32x32 might be a bit small though for that one, 64x64 is probably better.
