Help for the Uninitiated
by digorymuck » 18 Dec 2010, 22:43
Hi,
I am having trouble navigating these forums to find what I am looking for because I am not a programmer and am not familiar with a lot of the language being used here.
Assuming I have the 11/30 version of Forge installed on my PC, what is the step-by-step method, in layman's terms, to update to the most recent version (or SVN)? Are there additional programs that I need to do this?
I found the google sourcecode page that shows the changes that are literally being made every few hours, and I'd like to know precisely how to implement these changes, but there doesn't seem to be any one document that outlines this (probably because it's all second nature to programmers). If there is, I apologize, but I haven't found it.
Please help!
Thanks,
DMuck

Thanks for your reply. I did read through that thread and found it thoroughly difficult to understand what everyone was talking about. I also wasn't sure if that build program linked at the top of the page was even current, even after checking the end of the thread.Sloth wrote:Use this topic: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2767
I suppose I could just move this question over to that thread though.
